As I wrote to a reader recently, when the COVID-19 pandemic began, even though I had written about vaccines 20 years earlier, the focus of my original medical racket essay was degenerative disease and cancer in particular. I suspected that something was not quite right early on, but it took a few years to appreciate the infectious-disease racket that had been built, and vaccines were a key part of it. There were other aspects of the infectious-disease racket, such as portraying chemical-poisoning diseases as infectious diseases (polio, AIDS). By the 1970s, almost all polio cases in the USA were caused by the vaccine, and 40 years and many billions of dollars later, there is no AIDS vaccine.

The infectious-disease racket arguably began, at least in the modern age, with variolation in the 1700s. One variolation treatment could cost a year’s wages for the working class, so it was reserved for the upper classes. Jenner was the first commercializer of vaccines, and Pasteur was the second major figure. Pasteur was a scoundrel who sought wealth and fame above all else. René Dubos wrote books on Pasteur and his legacy, and it was unintentional on Dubos’s part, but he presented the revenues that big corporations generated from the Pasteurian paradigm. Dubos characterized it as how important Pasteur’s work is, but it is also one of the primary indicators of the racket’s existence. The evidence is clear that infectious disease was not conquered by medical interventions, but by improvements in sanitation, nutrition, and hygiene, which were side effects of the Industrial Revolution.

Polio is primarily caused by pesticide poisoning, but the polio vaccine rescued the CDC from irrelevance and abolishment. Then vaccines began to flood into use in the 1960s, but lawsuits from vaccine injuries soured Big Pharma on vaccines until the swine flu fiasco in 1976, as more than 40 million Americans got vaccinated for no good reason at all and the White House indemnified the vaccine makers. A decade later, Big Pharma got Congress to pass a law that shielded vaccine makers from lawsuits over injured and killed recipients of vaccines. That opened the floodgates, and children began getting pincushioned by vaccines – none of which prevented death, as infectious disease was no longer a killer of American children. The Mafia never had a sweeter deal than the vaccine makers did: force people to buy your products, but you are shielded from lawsuits from injuries and deaths from those products.

I was somewhat aware of the above in 2020 when the COVID pandemic hit, but I didn’t know that there was a full-fledged infectious-disease racket, of which the vaccine racket is its largest arm. I have written on the COVID-19 pandemic at great length since 2020, so will only hit some highlights related to the COVID-19 vaccines.

I will begin with the origins. Fauci funded gain-of-function research at the lab in Wuhan, China, in defiance of Obama’s pause on such inherently dangerous research. Although Fauci and the media, including Big Tech and scientific and medical journals, denied and covered it up, the leading hypothesis today is a leak from a lab, and the prime suspect is the Wuhan lab. In light of what came after the possible leak, the question has to be asked whether the lab work was intentionally reckless, so as to provide the “opportunity” for Fauci and friends. It was actually a “joke” that Fauci repeated amongst his associates. Fauci and friends may have created the very pandemic that Fauci and Big Pharma profited from. I am not a mind-reader, but I can appreciate many of the more conspiratorial musings about that situation.

Even if Fauci was being intentionally reckless, I see these situations, as always, as 1% conspiracy and 99% complicity. Capitalism is an ideology that elevates greed to a virtue. As such, capitalist efforts are always marred by perverse incentives and conflicts of interest. So, a lot what happened is likely attributable to perverse incentives, corruption, and the like, not necessarily an overarching conspiracy. And even if there was an overarching conspiracy, most of the evil was inflicted by just people’s doing their jobs, and few really cared whether their actions harmed and killed people. This is normal in today’s humanity, and when people such as Pierre Kory learn that, it awakens and often radicalizes them. As I write plenty, awakening can happen in any walk of life, but awakening in the rackets or close to them can be very powerful and life-risking (1, 2).

There have been “plandemic” allegations since the beginning, and that Bill Gates led an exercise just before COVID-19 that looked just like what happened can give one pause. He was either lucky, incredibly prescient, or something else was happening. I don’t; know what the answer is, but the last people on Earth who should have dominated the media in the early days of the pandemic were Gates and Fauci, but they were the go-to talking heads on the incipient pandemic. Both had flagrant conflicts of interest and they profited greatly from the pandemic. The largest transfer of wealth in world history was from the American working class to American billionaires, of nearly $4 trillion, during the draconian COVD-19 response.

In retrospect, it was no big surprise that Fauci, Gates, and friends would make sure that no drugs could be repurposed for early treatment of COVID, some of which had great success, because they were not lucrative, as their patents had expired. Wiping out the cheap treatments, to make way for lucrative new patented treatments, is part of the standard medical-racket playbook. The officially (and fraudulently) approved new vaccines and drugs harmed and killed millions of people, but it is all being covered up, as usual, in the standard callousness of the system.

Just yesterday, I talked with my last surviving college roommate, who was crippled by the COVID vaccine, as even admitted by his MD, who admitted to him that he risked his career to tell him that. My roomie said that his life’s greatest regret was allowing himself to be talked into getting the COVID vaccine by his physician pals. I watched my other surviving roommate die of brain cancer, which was likely caused by the COVID vaccine. My other roommate was killed by his cancer treatment in 2007. I hear about COVID vaccine injuries all the time, and I don’t try to collect them or elicit them. The most recent report I got this past spring, of a couple who were COVID-vaccine true believers. They were first in line to get their vaccines and boosters, at least until their latest one, when they both felt like they were going to die the next day. Their faith was shaken.

It turns out that Fauci was injured by the COVID vaccine, but he covered it up, until the recent release of his diaries made it public. Fauci hid his condition so as to not contribute to “vaccine hesitancy.” Fauci is being raked over the coals these days and deservedly so.

The mRNA COVID vaccines are not really vaccines at all in the traditional sense. There are no disease organisms in the mRNA vaccines, as they mimic the surface of the viruses, to supposedly train the immune system on them. In all my years of studying vaccines, the two primary injuries seem to be circulatory or neurological. The spike proteins that the mRNA vaccines produced were carried throughout the body, contrary to the official assurances, and those spike proteins seem to be the primary cause of the injuries and deaths. Scientists had tried for a generation to make safe mRNA vaccines, but they never did. So rushing out the mRNA vaccines was foolhardy at best and genocidal at worst, especially to use on children. The CDC was unable to find one previously healthy American child who died of COVID. Primarily the old and obese died of COVID. My vaxxed and boosted wife gave me COVID twice, when she got back from cruises. Those were the only times that I have been ill in more than a decade, and the flu is the only way that I get sick. A few days of fasting in bed did the trick, as usual.

This could be a very long post or series of them, but I will cut it short. The medical system is broken, and the vaccine racket was visible like never before in recent years. In the end, the COVID-19 pandemic response showed the medical racket in all its glory, for anybody with eyes to see. Millions of people killed and injured by the COVID-19 response, which woke millions of people up. My effort requires the awakened, so that may be a silver lining to the pandemic disaster.

When Celia Farber wrote her groundbreaking book on AIDS, which ended her career, she had the hardest time with the mass grave of children in New York who were used in medical experiments. Dennis Lee’s wife may have seen part of the pipeline for those experimental subjects, as she told me in 2013 that New Jersey social workers had quotas on how many children were removed from their families, in another example of the many perverse incentives in our systems.

The hardest part for me in reading Farber’s and RFK, Jr.’s books was what Bill Gates, Anthony Fauci, and friends did to poor nations, especially African nations (1, 2), and Gates did something similar in India. There were “only” 1,000 children or so in that mass grave in New York, while the vaccine and other campaigns in Africa and other poor nations likely killed millions of people.

When Brian O’Leary and I had our epic note-trading session in 2001, I mentioned Peter Duesberg, AIDS, and what was happening in Africa. Brian replied that the African situation was likely an exercise in eugenics. That sounded bizarre to even me, but Brian may well have been right. A Midwestern Doctor wrote on depopulation vaccines, and a Gates vaccine campaign in Africa seems to have been exactly that. Another Gates campaign in Africa increased the death rate of vaccinated girls by 1,000%. Gates’s polio vaccine campaign in India was a catastrophe that paralyzed a half-million children. Kennedy minced no words on Gates’s actions:

“Population control has been the central preoccupation of the Gates Foundation since its inception.”

What is happening in Africa has been called “medical colonialism” and other terms, and the more I looked into it, the more horrifying it was. Africa has suffered under the European lash for centuries, and it continues. Ed Herman wrote on that suffering at great length.

The practice of putting mercury in vaccines is part of the long tradition of metallic medicine in the West, in which the “medicine” is worse than the disease that it treats. Mercury was used in infant-teething powder in my lifetime. After a lot of activism, mercury was finally removed from childhood vaccines in the USA a generation ago, but the remaining inventories of mercury-laden vaccines were simply used on Africans and in other poor nations.

In the eyes of Fauci, Gates, and friends, Africans were expendable experimental subjects, the target of eugenics efforts, and other outrages.

As I noted in a prior post, 10,000 American infants are killed each year by vaccines, but the situation is far worse in poor nations that the vaccine racket inflicts its atrocities on.

I do not know who is behind it, as the targets rarely do, but somebody is working hard to ensure that the public does not read my work. This morning, there were 653,000 users on my forum in the latest series of denial-of-service attacks. It is creating problems, but they can be resolved. Fortunately, I am also at Substack and elsewhere, so the censors will not succeed as they might hope, unless they plan to become far more criminal in their behavior.

The global elite are well aware of my work, but my guess is that this comes from closer to the street level than the penthouse. Criminality is everywhere these days, and this is likely another example of where we do the global elite’s dirty work, gratis, as we make their job far easier.

Last year, I made a post on measles, in response to media hysteria over measles outbreaks. It was largely a summary of a chapter in Dissolving Illusions, and that chapter is quite a read, as well as a discussion in response to a smear. Measles had long since stopped being a deadly disease before vaccines were made for it.

The vaccine racketeers really count on the public’s being idiots and having everything inconvenient disappear down the Memory Hole. I had measles when I was about six, chickenpox around seven, and mumps when I was eight. There were no vaccines for them, nobody died from them, and there is plenty of evidence that those mild childhood diseases trained my immune system for a lifetime of good health, which I have enjoyed. In my adult life, I have rarely been a medical patient, and usually for injuries.

In his Vaccines, Amen, Aaron Siri referred to studies that show that people who get measles are markedly healthier than those who didn’t. The largest of the studies followed 100,000 Japanese citizens over a 21-year period. For men who had measles and mumps, they had a 17% reduction in strokes, a 20% reduction in cardiovascular disease, 29% fewer heart attacks, and they had half the death rate for cardiovascular disease as those who never had measles and mumps. Before the measles and mumps vaccines were introduced in the USA, there were 400 annual deaths from measles and 40 deaths from mumps. In contrast, nearly one million Americans died of heart disease each year back then. Using simple math, if people had been vaccinated for measles then, it could have meant another million deaths per year. So, theoretically save less than 500 lives but kill a million (2,000 times as many killed as saved). That is a very rough calculation, but it gives an idea of the magnitude of the issue.

In my measles post, I showed that there were five measles deaths in 1963 in New England and 50,000 heart disease deaths. So, 10,000 times as many deaths from heart disease, and measles was the big problem? It is doubly ironic that if everybody ate whole food, there would have been almost no heart disease deaths. But the book that provided the guidance was banned in the USA, although its guidance forms the first line of defense for orthodoxy today.

As I have stated, it seems that, at best, vaccination trades a short-term acute reaction for a long-term chronic one. The only credible explanation ever offered for how vaccines work is that they induce an autoimmune reaction, so skyrocketing autoimmune diseases in vaccinated children is no surprise. The “benefit” has to be weighed against the risks, which I have never seen vaccine promoters do, they just make the blanket assertion that vaccines are safe and effective.

In Siri’s book, he presented transcripts of his deposition of Stanley Plotkin, the “godfather of vaccines.” Plotkin made millions off of Big Pharma, specifically selling vaccines that he developed, but the Pharma payola was continual, which Plotkin readily admitted in his deposition. He was far from a disinterested scientist. He was really a Big Pharma salesman. All of the big names in vaccinology are like that. During the deposition, it became clear that Plotkin was oblivious to how safety testing was done. For one infant vaccine, the safety test period was five days. Plotkin was visibly surprised to learn that. A period like that Japanese study – 21 years – is what a credible vaccine safety test would require. That is one of the most consistent critiques made by vaccine critics, and Plotkin seemed completely unaware of the issue. Once it became clear that Plotkin was ignorant and he was asked to support his claims, he lawyered up and tried to quash the subpoena.

Siri reproduced the standard claim for vaccines:

“With the exception of safe water, no other intervention, not even antibiotics, has had such a major effect on mortality reduction and population growth.”

When Siri traced that statement to its source, each of the many times that he had seen it, the trail always led back to Plotkin’s Vaccines, but Plotkin provided zero evidence for his claim. It is a marketing statement, not a scientific one.

When I wrote my original medical racket essay, I used Viera Scheibner’s Vaccination: 100 Years of Orthodox Research shows that Vaccines Represent a Medical Assault on the Immune System. In 1985, Scheibner invented an infant-monitoring device to prevent crib death, which became a big issue after the DPT (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus) vaccine was introduced. Today, it is called Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (“SIDS”). Vaccination was clearly associated with the infant incidents that cause SIDS. When Japan moved its vaccine schedule from the first months of a child’s life to two years, SIDS disappeared.

Today, the vaccine establishment maintains that vaccines have nothing do with SIDS, but they have no credible data to support their claim. A Midwestern Doctor (“MWD”) is one of my favorite medical bloggers and MWD has written a number of articles on the evidence that vaccines cause SIDS (1, 2, 3). MWD listed several cases of identical twins dying of SIDS immediately after being vaccinated. Reports of twins dying immediately after vaccination go back for a century, and that is considered the “gold standard of causation.”

As I write this, an American woman is being prosecuted for murder (1) of her twins right after they were vaccinated. Last year, Pierre Kory wrote about twins who died right after vaccination. Steve Kirsch recently interviewed a former Omaha policewoman who investigated hundreds of SIDS deaths, and she found that half of the deaths happened within 48 hours of vaccination. The data is startling, and it is completely denied by the vaccine racket. About 10,000 American babies are killed each year by vaccines, and it is all being covered up. Since none of the diseases that they are vaccinated for are deadly, how can it be justified, other than it is highly profitable?

Kirsch was recently in a video conference with several MDs, and they all agree that vaccines are the leading cause of SIDS and autism. There is the same evidence, of twins, and even triplets, who all get autism immediately after being vaccinated.

Since Kennedy was named the head of the USA’s health bureaucracy, I have not only read dozens and dozens of articles that attack him, but one of the most common statements that I saw was that the connection between vaccines and autism has been disproven by a mountain of evidence that came from many studies. Of all the Big Lies that I have seen in the media, that is one of the biggest. There has been zero credible investigation to deny that connection. All that has ever been investigated has been one ingredient in one vaccine, and the study was rigged and had the conflicts of interest that permeate Western medicine.

If there is any doubt that Big Pharma runs Wikipedia on medical issues, reading the first sentence of Andrew Wakefield’s Wikipedia bio should remove all reasonable doubt. It makes Wikipedia’s smears of Ed Herman appear tame. Suzanne Humphries discussed Wakefield’s outrageous treatment and the autism issue and vaccines. MWD wrote about it. Autism has skyrocketed along with all of those other conditions that plague children today, which began their meteoric rise “coincidentally” after they began to be pincushioned by vaccines.

In my previous post, I mentioned the callousness of Western medicine, and injuring and killing infants in the name of Pharma profits is up there on the callousness scale. As the authors of Turtles All the Way Down stated, it is life and death issue for both the public and the vaccine racket. Who will win?

Europe’s conquest of the world is the greatest catastrophe in the human journey so far, with a death toll in excess of a billion people. Continents were depopulated and then “settled” by Europeans, while other peoples were enslaved, such as what the British did to India. Empires spanned the globe when latecomers to the game triggered what are called “World Wars,” and the USA came out on top after the most recent one.

The League of Nations was formed after the first World War and the United Nations after the second one. Both were largely ineffectual in reining in imperial behavior, which was accompanied by genocides and other immense crimes.

The USA had unprecedented global dominance after dropping nuclear weapons on Japan, and it has run roughshod over much of the world, with its neocolonial strategies that secured cheap labor and resources from subject nations. The last time that I looked, nearly all of the world’s poorest nations exported food to the USA, which is history’s fattest large nation.

Everything that the West has done in the Middle East for the past century and more has been motivated by the oil there, which is history’s greatest material prize. We have an oil war happening there as I write this, as the USA leads humanity to the edge of the abyss.

This post was inspired by a news article that I saw, as the USA applauded Venezuela’s withdrawal from the International Criminal Court (“ICC”). Since the USA abducted Venezuela’s head of state, Venezuela has become an American puppet. Applauding our puppet’s actions is a wry act, similar to when Nazis applauded Vichy France’s actions. I have yet to see any American mainstream journalist do a story on the withdrawal.

Ed Herman wrote that breaking international law was “as American as apple pie.” Noam Chomsky continually called out American hypocrisy regarding international law, along the lines of “laws for thee, not for me.” In his last years, Ed focused on the kangaroo court tribunals that the USA erected for Yugoslavia and Rwanda, and especially how “human rights” organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch supported such shams.

When the UN’s World Court ruled against the USA in its attacks on Nicaragua, the USA simply dismissed the findings. The International Criminal Court (“ICC”) was established in 2002, in the midst of the USA’s imperial rampages, and the USA voted against the establishment of the ICC, along with human-rights stalwarts China, Iraq, Israel, Libya, Qatar, and Yemen. The USA opposed the ICC from the outset and was able to corrupt it, as it generally targeted the USA’s imperial victims, never the perpetrators. I guess that the ICC was not corrupt enough for the USA’s liking, so it has to go.

The USA has regularly stood alone on the world stage, defying the rest of humanity as it rejected simple humanitarian principles, such as not using children as soldiers and the idea that everybody deserves to eat.

Cheering its new puppet’s behavior is standard American imperialism, attended by hypocrisy that reaches the heights that the USA is so well known for. The USA gets away with behaviors that pre-war Nazi Germany didn’t.

As Dennis Lee said about the American legal system that tried to kill him, it is the “just us” system. The USA behaves worse in international relations, just as all empires have. Venezuela’s withdrawal and the USA’s cheering of it is just one more grotesque spectacle.

As Aaron Siri made clear in his Vaccines, Amen, once that law was passed in 1986, to shield vaccine makers from liability for consumers who were injured and killed, it removed all incentive for them to make their vaccines safe. There has arguably never been any credible safety testing for any vaccine, but after 1986, there was not even a pretense of it. For evaluating today’s vaccines, vaccinated and unvaccinated populations are never compared in officialdom. The authors of Turtles All the Way Down did not mince words on that issue: it is to hide vaccine injuries.

The shield law also created a court where injured patients can try to get compensation for their injuries (or their deaths, if surviving family members petition the court). A devastating book was written on how that court has stonewalled nearly all claimants, and it still has paid out billions of dollars in settlements. The book’s author clearly laid out the path to corruption that the court took, as citizens were pitted against their government. The shield law also created a reporting system known as VAERS today, but it only records maybe 1% of vaccine injuries. This is how systems get rigged.

The 1986 law marked the beginning of a rapid increase in vaccines that were invented and added to the “recommended” vaccine schedule for children, which has become mandatory all too often in the USA. For none of those mandated vaccines was there any significant chance of death for those vaccinated children from the diseases that those vaccines theoretically prevented. Again, infectious diseases had ceased killing American children when I was a child.

The USA is far from alone with mandatory vaccinations. The Ultimate Vaccine Timeline continually listed compulsory vaccination in Russia, Japan, and elsewhere. The Nazis had mandatory diphtheria vaccines for Germany and immediately had 150,000 cases of it. The Nazis forced them on occupied France, which then had 47,000 diphtheria cases, while occupied Norway was able to successfully resist mandatory vaccination and only had 50 cases. There are many contrasts like that in the history of forced vaccinations, such as comparing Japan and Australia. Japan, with its mandatory vaccines, had tens of thousands of smallpox deaths. Australia suspended its mandatory vaccine program when two children died, and only had three smallpox cases in the next 15 years.

Even though the vaccine racket tries to cover it up, there have been some comparisons of vaccinated and unvaccinated populations. RFK, Jr., and Brian Hooker scoured the medical literature for ad hoc comparisons and published a book with their findings. The differences were not minor. Vaccinated populations had multiplies of the rates of allergies, autoimmune, and chronic conditions that the unvaccinated populations had, and even greater by an order of magnitude and more. That mirrors the skyrocketing allergies, autoimmune, and chronic conditions in American children since 1986, when it went from little over 10% to more than half, as it more than quadrupled.

Also, Fauci and friends repeatedly concocted disease scares to create more justification for vaccines. The first was the swine flu fiasco of 1976 (by Fauci’s predecessor), and Fauci rose to fame on the AIDS issue, when he criminally spread the unfounded rumor that AIDS could be spread by casual contact. As Kennedy documented in his book on Fauci, in the early 21^st century, every few years was a new disease scare, each one was phony, until Fauci finally hit pay dirt with COVID-19 which he may well have helped create and then covered up. The evidence coming from federal investigations make it clear what a sociopath or psychopath Fauci is.

I always situate my subjects in the wider context, as comprehensivists do, and some context seems appropriate here. I wrote it somewhere recently, but cannot find it at the moment, of a woman who was around scientists and officials involved with nuclear weapons policy. They linguistically downsized their efforts so that they could discuss annihilating the planet in something akin to water-cooler chatter. My first professional mentor saw the same thing, which drove him from the military.

The warfare model of masculine medicine is highly relevant to the vaccination issue, starting with the likely incomplete, at best, germ theory and the resulting warfare on the body. Make no mistake – vaccines are violent interventions – made under the guise that the violators know what they are doing. As I noted in my measles post, once in a great while, even from orthodoxy will come admissions that medical professionals really don’t understand immunity very well, to wit:

“Development of new vaccines has been hampered by an incomplete understanding of protective immunity and of the priming for enhanced disease by the inactivated vaccine.”

Not only do those inflicting the medical violence not know much about what they are doing, they can be startlingly callous toward their patients, with macabre “jokes” and the like. Pierre Kory woke up during the COVID-19 response, and he became appalled by his colleagues who really didn’t care how many patients that they killed with their treatments. How familiar.

When Celia Farber wrote her groundbreaking book on AIDS, which cost her her career to publish, the most harrowing part of her work was finding a mass grave in New York of a thousand orphans who were used in AIDS experiments. Vera Sharav, Holocaust survivor and patient advocate, visited that grave and was shocked. She called those experimental subjects “throw-away children.”

In an article by one of my favorite medical bloggers (A Midwestern Doctor – “MWD”), which was about vaccines that were intended to depopulate targeted groups, the good doctor wrote of how Irish children were used by the English as expendable guinea pigs in the development of the DPT (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus) vaccine. Thousands of those experimental subjects (in the 1930s) were buried in mass graves. The Nazis and Japanese simply took it to greater heights, so we hired them. Corporations are functional psychopaths, in which profits are everything, which explains many of the medical racket’s structural features.

One of the best books on the medical racket that I ever read was Robert Mendelsohn’s Confessions of a Medical Heretic, and MWD quoted one of Mendelsohn’s mentees:

“Mendelsohn told me that during his appointment as Medical Director of Project Head Start’s Medical Consultation Service in 1968, he was horrified by the discussions held privately in the White House with his medical colleagues. They were openly discussing how they could control the population of the poor by promoting infant formula vaccinations, sadistic hospital birthing practices, deficient government schools, and neighborhood abortion clinics. This was just too much of an assault on his strong Jewish faith and his Hippocratic oath.”

Those White House discussions would have been right at home in Nazi Germany.

That normalized callousness is a big reason why a vaccine racket exists today.

As Ed Herman’s biographer, I will always have an obligation to write about American imperial activities, especially with today’s ongoing wars.

George Washington launched the USA’s imperial trajectory by proposing to swindle the Indians out of their land with treaties that his new nation (which Washington called an infant empire) would never honor. It is history’s greatest swindle, as it led to the theft of a continent. That strategy has been swept under the imperial carpet to this day. Over the next century, the USA completed the theft.

More than a century ago, the American people preferred to digest their plunder in peace and they avoided involvement in Europe’s wars. The first World War was the “war to end all wars,” and Woodrow Wilson ran in 1916 on the platform of keeping the USA out of it, but he got the USA into the war after his reelection. Speaking in favor of peace was outlawed in those days. Pacifist Eugene Debs was imprisoned by the new laws, ran for president from prison in 1920 and got nearly one million votes.

In the introduction of William Blum’s monumental Killing Hope, he discussed how the Cold War really began with the Russian Revolution. As World War II began, Franklin Roosevelt initially respected the isolationist position, which avoided all foreign entanglements. But Roosevelt seemed to follow the advice of the McCollum memorandum, to goad the Japanese into attacking the USA, so that the USA could enter the war as the aggrieved party (that was nothing new). Killing Hope chronicled American interventions globally after World War II.

John Kennedy tried to end the Cold War, paid with his life, and all American presidents since JFK have been puppets and knew it. In my adult life, I have watched president after president promise peace while on the campaign trail and then wage war when in office. It seems to be part of the presidential playbook. Even the “human rights” president, Jimmy Carter, presided over the greatest proportional genocide since the Jewish Holocaust.

This post was inspired by Matt Bivens’s post earlier today, which chronicled Trump’s war on Iran. American presidents have been meddling and waging war in the Middle East since the CIA overthrew Iran’s government in 1953, which was its first major “success” of a cheaper form of foreign policy: threatening nations with nuclear attack and overthrowing governments with covert action.

Since 1980, I have lived through several wars in the Middle East that the USA waged, sometimes by proxy, such as when Iraq invaded Iran. After the Cold War ended, the USA then began with outright invasions, such as Iraq in 1991 and the dozen years of genocide before the 2003 invasion, and the overthrow of Libya’s government (as well as Syria’s overthrow). Then it was back to harrying Russia with Ukraine, using Neonazis to overthrow Ukraine’s government, which revived the specter of nuclear war. Palestinians have been subjected to a rolling genocide for more than a century, which escalated in 1948, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza has had decisive American support.

When Trump ran in the 2024 election, he promised to end the war in Ukraine in one day, but Ukrainian drone attacks on Russia, which would not succeed without American help, have escalated. Once again, Russia is warning that it could spiral into nuclear war.

Trump has openly coveted a Nobel Peace Prize and his face on Mount Rushmore, and Bivens laid out a path to those goals. But joining in with Israel’s unprovoked attacks on Iran takes humanity ever closer to the abyss. Trump is only the latest president to promise peace and wage war instead.

I know how to end this nightmare, but I can’t do it alone.

For all of the rackets that I have described, the 1% conspiracy and 99% complicity dynamic applies. The vaccine racket is just more of the same, with its perverse incentives and other structural features. The brainwashing begins early and often, about 70% of those in the vaccine racket are oblivious to the idea that it is a racket, about a quarter feel that something is amiss, only a few percent figure it out, and almost none of those are brave enough to speak out, such as how Suzanne Humphries and Richard Moskowitz have. Ralph McGehee was one of four CIA employees who figured out the CIA’s game in the 20^th century and wrote books about it. This a human universal, and as long as we live in a world of scarcity and fear, these nightmares will continue.

Ed Herman’s Propaganda Model will be relevant as long as there is a capitalist media, and as long as capitalism guides Western medicine, atrocities such as vaccination will continue, as everything gets medicalized. There is only one way out that I know of: the end of scarcity. Only one thing can do that: abundant and harmlessly produced and used energy. The arrival of abundance and what I call the Fifth Epoch will collapse all of the rackets.

As I mentioned in the previous post, inoculation and vaccination were lucrative from the beginning. Once Pasteur’s germ theory gave it some kind of theoretical foundation and robber barons joined the fray, then vaccination was off and running. The Ultimate Vaccine Timeline is full of vaccine efforts in the early 20^th century. Corporations were constantly inventing new vaccines and governments kept promoting and mandating them in that unholy alliance.

I have written at length about polio. The key fact about it is that the first recorded polio outbreak was in a farming town in Vermont in 1894, in the same year that the town embraced the new miracle pesticide: lead arsenate. That was the cause of the first polio outbreak, but the day’s medical system doggedly hunted for the virus that caused it, armed with the new germ theory. People began suggesting that poisoning by lead arsenate was the cause of the increasing polio cases, but they were shouted down by scientists in the pay of lead arsenate interests, which became a familiar pattern, with corrupt scientists giving leaded gasoline a free pass and turning a deadly industrial waste, fluoride, into compulsory “medicine.” Those kinds of Orwellisms abounded in the 20^th century, and are examples of why even the defenders of science call biomedical science its flimsiest and most corrupt branch.

It took 40 years for officialdom to finally begin admitting that it might not be very healthy to put lead arsenate on crops. Just as lead arsenate began to be phased out, a new miracle pesticide rose: DDT. People even sprayed DDT on their cereal. Polio deaths in the USA hit a second peak in 1952 before farmers began phasing it out because insects adapted to it. By the time of the legendary Salk vaccine, polio deaths in the USA had nearly vanished. Not only did vaccines not deserve any credit for defeating polio, tens of millions of people were given a monkey virus that contaminated the Salk vaccine, and there were incidents of defective vaccines that gave tens of thousands of children polio, which paralyzed and killed children. By the 1970s, according to the CDC, nearly all polio cases in the USA were caused by the vaccine.

One of the bizarre contrasts of the vaccine craze in the 20^th century is that the killer diseases stopped killing people long before there were medical interventions for them. The death rate for measles in England declined by more than 99% before the measles vaccine was introduced in the 1960s, and the same went for pertussis. There never was a widespread scarlet fever vaccine. In 1949, the USA’s Congress began moving to abolish the CDC because it was no longer needed. Polio “saved” the CDC, and then the rise of vaccination in the 1960s kept it in the chips. When I was a child in the 1960s, there were no vaccines or other medical interventions for the childhood diseases that we got (I got measles, mumps, and chickenpox), and no children died of infectious disease. It was a non-issue.

While there was a vaccine craze, the Journal of the American Medical Association promoted cigarettes while its editor tried to monopolize novel cancer treatments and then wipe them out when they did not sell out (1, 2). That editor was the dictator of American medicine for a generation, tobacco ads made him rich, and his greatest “achievement” was spearheading the “research” and ad blitz for a cigarette filter made of asbestos. I could not make that up if I tried. In those same years, fluoride got a makeover from hazardous industrial waste to compulsory “medicine” that is in my tap water to this day. The scientists who performed the feat of turning an industrial waste into medicine all worked for fluoride polluters, and no conflict was more extreme than Harold Hodge’s, who was an American Mengele. That was our vaunted Western medicine in action, and in ways, it is even worse today.

By the 1970s, vaccine makers were deluged with lawsuits by injured vaccine recipients and they began to get out of the business. Then came the swine flu scare of 1976. Over 40 million people were vaccinated for a disease that killed one person at most, while the vaccine severely injured thousands and killed dozens. The federal government paid out over $100 million to protect vaccine makers from lawsuits.

Just as polio is primarily a chemical-poisoning disease, AIDS almost certainly also is, but viruses became scapegoats for manmade diseases. Anthony Fauci’s rise to fame and fortune began with AIDS. About 300,000 healthy gay men were killed by AZT, for another medical atrocity.

Then, in 1986, at the same time that the Reagan administration was threatening Asian nations if they did not open their markets to American tobacco companies, a law was passed that shielded vaccine makers from liability for vaccine injuries. That was the watershed moment for vaccine makers, as the craze reached new levels that last to this day. Vaccine makers got a deal that the Mafia envied: force people to buy products that harmed them, but the sellers are protected from lawsuits for those harms. The law was passed under the principle that vaccines were “unavoidably unsafe,” but the mantra today about vaccines is that they are “safe and effective.” At the confirmation hearings this week for a new CDC director, virtually all questions were about vaccines, when infectious disease is the least of American health concerns. It is surreal.

That shielding of vaccine makers from liability opened the floodgates to force vaccines into American children, which “coincidentally” was accompanied by skyrocketing allergies, autoimmune disorders, chronic conditions, and neurological afflictions such as autism, which the Pharma-dominated media denies at every turn.

As I stated when I began this series of posts, the first thing that I read on alternative medicine when I began my days of study was a book on Gaston Naessens. What I found most interesting was that he invented a microscope that achieved resolutions that today’s optical theory cannot not explain. Armed with such a microscope, he documented the “life cycle” of what he called the somatid, as it “mutated” through bacterial and fungal forms. He learned that that cycle only happened when the organism was unhealthy, and that cycle was common to all degenerative diseases that he studied. He also learned that cancer tumors had a thirst for nitrogen and attacked neighboring cells to get them, while putting the immune system to sleep, to enable its plunder. Naessens developed a nitrogen-rich food for those rogue tumors, they stopped attacking their neighbors and putting the immune system asleep. The immune system then awoke and attacked the tumors, which ended the disease. His treatment cured cancer and even AIDS.

The medical authorities in Canada attacked, Naessens was on trial for his life, and his cured patients besieged the courthouse. He was acquitted and his treatment was legalized in Canada. Like almost every alternative cancer treatment that I know of, Naessens’s treatment abandoned the attack-the-tumor paradigm of orthodox cancer treatment, which is part of that warfare model of masculine medicine that I write about.

The author of the Naessens book, Christopher Bird, included an article that asked what had become of the Rife microscope, which achieved similarly “impossible” resolutions. Then I got books on Rife, who did his work a generation before Naessens did. Rife did his work before electron microscopes were used, so he had the world’s most powerful microscope in his heyday. Surviving micrographs demonstrate that the microscope really got those “impossible” resolutions. Like Naessens, Rife documented a life cycle of microbes that included bacterial and fungal forms. Also like Naessens, Rife’s pursuit of his discoveries led to a successful treatment for cancer and other diseases. Rife’s treatment created a resonant frequency that destroyed tumors (the only “attack-the-tumor” alternative treatment that I encountered, but in a way that did not harm the patients).

Like Naessens, Rife also ran afoul of the authorities after they tried to buy into his business to turn his treatment into a monopoly, and his company was wiped out. Rife’s fate was stark medical-racketeering, but Bird also referred to a scientist who long predated Naessens and Rife, who was a contemporary of Louis Pasteur, named Antoine Béchamp. I got a book on Béchamp and his rivalry with Pasteur, which was written in 1922. I also got a book by Béchamp himself, written in 1912. In the book’s preface, Béchamp described several instances in which Pasteur apparently plagiarized Béchamp, and they were not inconsequential plagiarisms.

When I began my studies for what became my medical racket essay, in the late 1990s, I began studying Pasteur’s career. Like Naessens and Rife, Béchamp discovered subcellular entities that he named microzymas, which were part of similar processes that Naessens and Rife had independently discovered. Rife discovered what he called cancer viruses. What those three scientists discovered is called pleomorphism today, in which organisms do not stay bacteria or fungi, but mutate into different forms, and there was an overlap between infectious and degenerative disease. Those findings challenge the foundations of today’s biomedical paradigm, but that was just part of what I learned.

As I studied Pasteur’s life, he came across as a scoundrel who craved fame and fortune, he was not above fudging his data, and he did not have any biological training. Today’s microbiology textbooks depict Pasteur as settling the spontaneous generation controversy, but that is a fairy tale. If the textbooks could fib about Pasteur like that, what else might they be lying about? Pasteur’s chief achievement is his formulation of the germ theory of disease, and this is where it all ties into the vaccine racket.

One of the most persistent delusions that I have seen in my journey is the idea that if the rich and powerful support something, then it must be legitimate, and if something is on the fringes, then it must not have merit. Many times, I have seen that the opposite is the case, going back to when my family changed its diet when I was 12, when I saw how the world’s best engine got buried, how Dennis Lee’s heat pump has been wiped out in the USA, the suppression of high-MPG carburetors, Sparky Sweet’s fate, what my friend saw in his underground technology show, and how oil company scientists denied that there was Global Warming or that burning hydrocarbons was responsible for it. That is just on the science and technology front, and it does not include Ed Herman’s Propaganda Model, which has never been challenged, how the history books cover up George Washington’s monumental crimes, etc.

There is a deep rabbit hole to go down on immunity, viruses, contagion, and the like. A lot of vaccination science, such as it is, is based on it. But, for me, it is largely irrelevant, because infectious disease was not an issue when I was a child, and it should not be one today in industrial nations. There is no credible argument for vaccination in light of that, not with the undeniable harms that it causes, which is almost all covered up today.

But I will sketch what I studied, learned, and think about the issues. I’ll start by stating that I am not in the “no-contagion” and “no-virus” camps. That said, I think that the science is far from complete and has been corrupted, especially as vaccines were lucrative from the beginning. The most prominent vaccine scientists have all been vaccine salesmen (Paul Offit, Peter Hotez, Stanley Plotkin), not impartial scientists. So-called vaccine “science” is a big reason why biomedical science is called the flimsiest and most corrupt branch of science, even by the defenders of science. The primary reason for that is the prodigious conflicts of interest of those involved in the scientific process. Nearly all biomedical research is funded by interests that seek to profit from the research, and there is no greater enticement for corruption than that.

There was no scientific basis for early vaccines, but when Pasteur concocted his germ theory of disease, he became the first great commercializer of vaccines, and his early efforts were catastrophes, such as killing thousands of sheep with a vaccine. And as with compulsory vaccinators, Pasteur advocated medical experiments on prisoners, which foreshadowed eugenicists and Nazis. But his biographers were still able to write hagiographies about Pasteur. For all of Pasteur’s scandalous behavior, the key question is whether he was right with his germ theory, and I doubt it. The pleomorphic dynamics uncovered by those scientists mentioned above should sure call into question the germ theory as it stands today, but it is largely unexplored territory today.

There is one thing that vaccines are often able to do: prevent an acute reaction, such as fever and other symptoms. However, as Suzanne Humphries argues, those acute reactions mean that the immune system is working, and forestalling the short-term acute reaction seems to lead to long-term chronic conditions. This is the crux of the vaccine issue, and the vaccine racket has swept it all under the carpet.

One of my favorite vaccine books was by Richard Moskowitz, another physician who saw vaccine injuries in his practice. I had a number of startling moments while reading it, and one was that today’s vaccines are proprietary, so that just how they work are trade secrets. How can people put something in their bodies when how they work is a secret? It is like the snake-oil days of proprietary medicine. Not only are the vaccines full of “secret sauce,” but there has never been any credible safety testing of any vaccine given to an American child today, and my favorite book on that is Turtles All the Way Down. Turtles shows very clearly that for no vaccine given to American children was there ever a placebo control group, which is standard for all drug testing. With no control group, there is no way to begin to isolate the adverse effects of vaccines. The defenders of that incredible practice, such as Paul Offit (who “voted himself rich”), can only serve up irrational word salad and obfuscation. The only explanation ever given for how vaccines work is that they induce autoimmune reactions.

Even though there is no placebo control testing, the vaccine racketeers can’t bury all of the bodies, and Aaron Siri’s Vaccines, Amen calls out some of that. Even though there is no control group, the vaccine testers (who work for the vaccine makers, as the flagrant conflicts of interest permeate the field) at least record medical events after vaccinating, but then they use their “judgment” to dismiss those reactions as not being related to the vaccine. It is a parody of science. For the Gardasil trial, they dismissed more than 99.9% of the adverse reactions. Until the COVID vaccines, there were more adverse reactions reported for Gardasil than for any other vaccine ever. A serious adverse reaction means a life-threatening or crippling reaction, or even killing the patient. In his book Siri discussed vaccine trials in which more than 10% of the subjects had serious adverse reactions, and the vaccines were deemed safe! To make matters worse, once deemed safe like that, then if future trials have similar adverse reaction rates, then they are also deemed safe. That is how vaccine safety testing is done these days.

There are many theoretical problems with vaccines, and one of which is how people get infectious disease in the first place. It almost always starts with ingesting the microbes through the mouth and nose. Vaccines usually bypass the natural way to inject the vaccine through the skin. That alone circumvents how our immune systems operate, so the immune system is compromised from the beginning.

One of the key theoretical issues with vaccines is that they work by creating antibodies, when that is only part of the immune system. The two main parts of our immune systems are called cellular and humoral, or innate and acquired. White blood cells are part of the cellular (innate) immune system, while antibodies are part of the humoral (acquired) immune system. The cellular immune system evolved first and is the body’s first line of defense. Antibodies are produced after an infection is defeated, to recognize the microbes in the future and make short work of them if they reappear. Vaccination bypasses cellular immunity to induce the production of antibodies. It basically turns the immune system on its head. A famous Salk vaccine researcher called that situation the “original antigenic sin,” and that turning the immune system upside down like that is very likely the source of the skyrocketing allergic, autoimmune, and chronic conditions that most American children have today, which began their rise after children began getting pincushioned by vaccines after the 1986 law relieved vaccine makers of liability for vaccine injuries. What happens is that all of those antibodies that vaccination creates begin fighting the wrong war and attack the body instead of waiting for the invader to reappear.

I believe that the theoretical foundation of vaccination is very shaky. At best, vaccines seem to trade short-term acute reactions for long-term chronic ones. These Substack posts can only skim the surface of these issues. Many MDs and scientists have spoken out against vaccination, but they all had hell to pay, usually with ruined careers. There is much more to come.

According to statistics I have seen, in 1730 in London, 75% of children died before age five, which is a number that would lead to human extinction. By 1830, it had declined to 32%, which was an unprecedented improvement in world history. I had to do a little digging recently to try to explain those numbers, and the 1730 number is likely not reliable. In the first edition of Dissolving Illusions, the authors did not deal with 1700s mortality in London, but in their most recent edition they did. An orthodox rendering of smallpox inoculation/vaccination in this paper, for instance, questions whether inoculation (pre-Jenner) had any impact on smallpox at all and gave credit to vaccination, which was an 1800s phenomenon. The authors of Dissolving Illusions presented London smallpox death rates, which increased when inoculation and vaccination were introduced. Below is the graphic, among their many charts, which includes one that shows London deaths from 1657 to 1757. Half of London’s deaths for that century were of people age 20 and younger, which matches the historic trend for all societies.

So, 75% seems overstated.

The authors of Dissolving Illusions reproduced statistics of the day that showed that smallpox death rates increased with vaccination, and one is reproduced below for London, from 1645 to 1800:

More than that, the authors discussed the “medicine” of the day, which included bloodletting, mercury, and other deadly barbarities of the kind that Benjamin Rush practiced. The authors quoted the apothecary of a children’s hospital who said in 1722 that for over 20 years and many thousands of patients, only a handful of children died of smallpox. They also quoted Thomas Sydenham, arguably the most revered English physician, who stated, “if no mischief is done, either by physician or nurse, it [smallpox] is the most slight and safe of all other diseases.” The authors also noted contemporary observers who stated that the horrific conditions of the time were responsible for most infectious-disease deaths.

That is quite a contrast from the orthodox rendering today of the success of smallpox vaccines. I have to think that the greatest increase in standard of living in world history to its time must have had an impact on that century from 1730 to 1830, but I never saw an orthodox account credit it.

Perhaps the most telling graphic produced by the authors of Dissolving Illusions is below:

Scarlett fever killed more than twice as many people as smallpox did in 1850. There never was a widespread scarlet fever vaccine, but by 1920, its death rate fell to nearly zero. Today, about 15-20% of children have the scarlet fever bacteria, but they rarely get sick from it. Other killer diseases – measles, whooping cough, and diphtheria – also greatly declined long before there were vaccines for them. The authors of Dissolving Illusions revised their death-rate decline in measles to 99.8% from their earlier 99.96%, between 1840 and when the measles vaccine was introduced in 1968. What caused that precipitous collapse?

Even though its ideal implementation has likely never been achieved, I believe that the ideal of the scientific method is a worthy one. While the Scientific Revolution began in Europe, it owed a great debt to the rise of humanism in medieval Europe, which began with the capture of Islamic libraries, which did not eradicate Ancient Greek and other works like the Catholic Church did. There were also Asian influences, such as Chinese and Indian. There are many misconceptions about science. It is basically a systematized process of exploring our reality, and evidence is ideally the final arbiter of the truth, but the greatest scientists were quite aware of the discipline’s limitations. The precursor to Newcomen’s revolutionary steam engine was invented in consultation with leading scientists of the day, for an example of how the Industrial Revolution relied on the Scientific Revolution.

In 1854, London’s slums were open sewers, which were typical of European cities. There was a cholera outbreak in 1854, and an English physician traced all cases to one well. That finding began the era of public sanitation. The germ theory of disease had not been invented yet, but cleaning up London is what finally beat infectious disease there. For the entire history of civilization, urban life expectancy did not exceed rural life expectancy until the 20^th century.

Smallpox had a mild and severe version. The mild one was like chickenpox, while the severe version killed people. By the late 1800s, the severe version quickly disappeared, and nearly completely disappeared from the USA after 1897. All infectious diseases had the same decline in those years, before there were medical interventions for them. As I noted in the previous post, it was taught in medical school in my lifetime that medical interventions had almost nothing to do with that decline. The Industrial Revolution’s improvements in sanitation, nutrition, and hygiene were responsible, not medical interventions, particularly vaccines.

England had an amazing event that orthodoxy ignores and dismisses to this day. In Leicester in 1885, the residents had had enough of compulsory vaccine campaigns and staged a protest that had about 100,000 participants. Leicester rejected mandatory vaccination and instead relied on sanitation and quarantine of the infected, with some selected vaccination, and Leicester’s vaccination rate declined to a little over 10% by 1887. The health authorities warned of a looming catastrophe for rebellious Leicester, but it never again had a deadly outbreak of smallpox, while its neighboring cities continued to have smallpox disasters. In Wikipedia’s article on Leicester, there is not one word about that amazing rebellion. The medical racket is one of many interests that control Wikipedia’s content. Dissolving Illusions had chapters devoted to Leicester.

In Neil Z. Miller’s Immunization: Theory vs. Reality, he presented a table of the smallpox vaccination and death rates in England and Wales. In 1881, 96.5% of infants were vaccinated and the death rate was 3,708 per million. By 1921, the vaccination rate was 42.3% and the death rate was 12 per million. The vaccination rate kept declining while smallpox completely disappeared. How can vaccination get any credit for that? I got a worthless smallpox vaccine as a child, as the last smallpox outbreak in the USA was in 1949.

Here (1, 2, 3) are some summaries of that part of Dissolving Illusions and the book in general. Why does vaccination get all that credit for vanquishing smallpox, when the other killer diseases disappeared at the same time, without any medical interventions?

When I was born, infectious disease was not an issue in the USA. I got measles, mumps, and chicken pox, just like everybody else. There were no vaccines for them and nobody died from them. I never heard of a child who died of infectious disease while growing up. The death rate for children declined from half to nearly zero, and virtually none of today’s deaths are from infectious disease in Industrial nations, but they comprised almost all deaths before that great decline. The elimination of childhood death in industrial nations is the biggest event in the human journey so far. There has never before been an animal for which nearly all offspring live to reproductive age. This is humanity’s singular achievement, and it all came as a side-effect of the Industrial Revolution, not medical interventions. But the vaccine racket was just getting warmed up.

Today’s degenerative and infectious diseases are called the diseases of civilization, as hunter-gatherers rarely had them. Only a few percent (1) of ancient hunter-gatherers had tooth decay, but when some subsisted on acorns, their tooth decay skyrocketed. There is little skeletal evidence that hunter-gatherers suffered from degenerative diseases, but they rarely lived to be old, because of the rigors of their lives.

Infectious disease outbreaks plagued the first civilization in Sumer. I recall reading about even earlier settlements in the Fertile Crescent that collapsed from likely epidemics. But there is no doubt that civilization was responsible for the rise in epidemic diseases, and the Middle East has the best documented early epidemics, from the Hittites to Egypt to Greece to Rome. Agriculture’s standing water led to the rise of malaria, but it is thought that most epidemic diseases came from domestic animals and those that began living in human settlements. Measles and tuberculosis came from cattle, for instance, and smallpox likely came from African rodents.

The crowding and unsanitary conditions of early cities were highly conducive to epidemics, especially when combined with animals. As I have written plenty, half of all children died, in all societies until the Industrial Revolution, going back to gorillas. Maybe around half of those children’s deaths in hunter-gatherer societies were from infanticide, as the parents could not afford to feed them. With the rise of civilization, killing children for starvation reasons declined, but then they began dying of infectious diseases, and the death rate remained at half of the children. Later in this series of posts, I will discuss my sources more, but for this post I will refer at length to Dissolving Illusions, which is one of my favorite vaccine books. Suzanne Humphries was the lead author of it. It was particularly good on the first “success” with vaccination: smallpox.

The idea of giving somebody a disease as a way to reduce its killing effect is old, and the introduction of smallpox vaccination to Europe began in 1717, when an aristocrat returned from the Ottoman Empire with the practice of “variolation,” which was scratching somebody’s skin with material taken from another person’s smallpox lesion. The idea was that the scratched person would get a mild version of smallpox and then become immune to it in the future. But it worked better in theory than in practice, as the scratched people died a few percent of the time and it could lead to local epidemics, so that by 1728 the practice generally died in Europe.

But a surgeon came to London and boasted of inoculation succeeding in a North Carolina epidemic in 1738, which revived the practice, and in the 1740s it catered to London’s wealthy. In a 1752 epidemic in Boston, some data indicated that fewer of the inoculated died than who got natural smallpox, and white people might be helped more than blacks. But the success of inoculation was highly variable, and a 1764 article showed that smallpox deaths increased in inoculated populations (about 30-40% higher). Inoculations seemed about as likely to start an epidemic as stop one.

In 1774, a farmer, responding to rumors that milkmaids got less smallpox, infected his wife and sons from a cowpox lesion and claimed that the sons did not contract smallpox after being exposed to it. Edward Jenner heard the stories and infected an eight-year-old boy with cowpox from a milkmaid in 1796. That one boy became the basis for smallpox vaccine campaigns. Jenner originally claimed lifelong immunity with his method, but it was later revised down to ten years to as little as one year and even less.

As the authors of Dissolving Illusions noted, even though promoted by Western medicine since Jenner, a trial was never performed in which one group was vaccinated and one wasn’t. In this century, the CDC admitted that it didn’t know what level of antibody protects against smallpox. When Jenner published his paper in 1798, many doctors who saw smallpox follow cowpox in their patients laughed at Jenner’s ignorance. The next year, an English surgeon used vaccines from Jenner on three children, but they all got smallpox. The same year, another surgeon used cowpox to vaccinate hundreds of people, several of whom nearly died, and one child did die. Many doctors reported that people who had natural cowpox or were vaccinated still died of smallpox, but vaccination was firmly embraced by the English medical community, so that in 1801, about 100,000 English were vaccinated.

In 1809, the Medical Observer reported many deaths that flew in the face of the idea that contracting cowpox conferred lifelong immunity to smallpox, and in 1810 it reported hundreds of post-vaccination smallpox cases and nearly 100 deaths. In 1818, a Scottish surgeon zealously vaccinated over 1,000 people, but when he saw many get smallpox and even die, he lost his enthusiasm and spoke out about it. The medical literature of the time showed how even getting smallpox did not necessarily confer immunity to future bouts of it, and the vaccinated could still be infected.

Vaccination was a lucrative new revenue stream for British medical professionals, so it was significant that so many of them reported the failure of smallpox vaccines in those days. The authors of Dissolving Illusions wrote that just like today, the true believers ignored the negative reports. In 1829, a pamphleteer wrote about the failures of smallpox vaccines.

When it became clear that the smallpox vaccine did not prevent smallpox, the medical profession changed tactics and promoted the idea that the vaccinated got a milder form of smallpox. The authors of Dissolving Illusions wrote that that strategy is used to this day to justify pertussis and influenza vaccines. In the 1844 epidemic in England, about a third of the vaccinated got smallpox, two-thirds had the severe disease, and 8% died.

A 1850 letter to a newspaper noted that there were more admissions to London’s smallpox hospital in 1844 than in the 1781 epidemic, and that one-third of the smallpox deaths were of the vaccinated. As George Bernard Shaw later reported, officials cooked the numbers to make vaccination look better. The authors of Dissolving Illusions wrote that it was common practice in the last half of the 1800s for medical professionals to cook the numbers to make vaccination look better, by attributing smallpox deaths to other causes. That kind of numbers-cooking is rampant in Western medicine to this day.

It was not long before England began passing laws to mandate smallpox vaccination. The first law was passed in 1853, a stricter law was passed in 1867, and Massachusetts passed its first mandatory vaccine law in 1855. Children could not attend school without it. Vaccine campaigns were regularly followed by smallpox outbreaks, and the vaccinated often got it first.

One of the great services that the authors of Dissolving Illusions provided was doing the archival work to show the trends in disease deaths in the England and the USA, which I have used in my work. The data shows smallpox death spikes after the draconian laws were passed. The vaccine laws had no beneficial impact on smallpox and likely contributed to the high death tolls. Far more people died in the 20 years after the compulsory laws were passed than in the 20 years before those laws. This became a global pattern, in which highly vaccinated populations had high rates of disease and death, and the idea that vaccinating everybody, to provide so-called herd immunity, did not work at all.

In London’s Lancet in 1871 was the report that of over 9,000 smallpox patients in London’s hospitals, nearly 7,000 had been vaccinated and nearly 2,000 of those smallpox patients died. Lancet reported that between 1870 and 1885, one million vaccinated Germans had died of smallpox. In 1899, a doctor reported from highly vaccinated Italy that it had continual smallpox outbreaks. This was a global issue. Japan passed compulsory vaccine laws in 1872, made even stricter in 1885, requiring vaccines every five to seven years, and smallpox scourged Japan, with 40,000 deaths from 1885 to 1892 and another 40,000 deaths over the next five years.

I make this post because smallpox is the only disease for which vaccination can possibly claim a victory over death, but the numbers never supported it, as I hope this post has made clear. All of the other killer infectious diseases largely vanished before there were vaccines or antibiotics for them. A famous study from the 1970s, which used to be taught in medical schools, showed that vaccines and other medical interventions might get credit for 1% of the decline in infectious-disease deaths in the West.

In the late 1800s, smallpox began disappearing in the West and became less deadly, but there is no evidence that vaccines had anything to do with it, and that comes next.

My introduction to the medical racket was at age 12, when our family changed its diet from processed food to whole food to save my father’s health, which resulted in a health miracle. The book that inspired that change was banned in the USA the next decade for being contrary to medical dogma. The book’s advice was right, medical dogma was wrong, and that book’s advice forms Western medicine’s first line of defense today for circulatory disease. I am surprised that I lived to see it.

In late 1988, after my life-changing day in Kangaroo Court, I got a job in a medical lab, and while Dennis Lee sat in solitary confinement for trying to throw a Christmas party for his inmates, corrupt officials and the media tried to wipe out my new employer.

I began my days of study in 1990, and one of the first topics that I began studying was alternative medicine, beginning with Gaston Naessens’s discoveries, which soon led to Royal Rife and Ralph Hovnanian’s Medical Dark Ages, which was my big wakeup call on what a racket Western medicine is.

When I wrote my medical racket essay a generation ago, I depicted the issue as a conflict of paradigms, specifically the schism between feminine and masculine medicine. Feminine medicine emphasizes prevention, sanitation, nutrition, and its interventions are gentle remedies such as herbs. Masculine medicine is a form of warfare. That pretty much sums up the problem. Men have dominated Western medicine for centuries, and women healers have always been under siege by men.

As Smedley Butler said, war is a racket. War profiteering must compete for the title of most evil activity on Earth, and much of Western medicine is a form of war profiteering. I have written at length on the two main arms of the medical racket, which are the degenerative disease and infectious disease rackets. Neither of them really deserves to exist. Degenerative disease is almost all caused by processed food, various inebriants, and other toxins that people ingest, usually willingly. When I was a child, infectious disease was not an issue. No children died from infectious disease in the early 1960s, when I got measles, mumps, and chicken pox, like all American children did in those days. Children did not die from them in those days, there were no vaccines for them, and that is the crux of the issue regarding today’s vaccine racket.

Last year, there was media hysteria over a measles outbreak in Texas, and I wrote a post on measles. Perhaps my favorite medical statistic is that before the measles vaccine was introduced in England in the 1960s, the measles death rate in England had already declined by 99.96%. But today, the measles vaccine is treated in the media like a miracle intervention that saved us. This one of the many Big Lies that parade in the media. Just last week, I was contacted by my medical provider, to come and get a measles vaccine. I replied that I had measles as a child, so I was immune for life, and they still advocated that I get a measles vaccine. That was surreal.

This series of posts will be wide-ranging on how there came to be a vaccine racket, which is a subsidiary of the medical racket. This will be quite a ride.

Today I read an article by Kara Dansky, in which she discussed how Amnesty International called feminist groups “anti-rights” because they insist that men are not women. Dansky made her stance clear:

“We simply do not believe that men should have the ‘right’ to fetishize women in public. We do not think that men should have the ‘right’ to be in women’s single-sex spaces such as public bathrooms and locker rooms. We do not think that medical professionals should have the ‘right’ to sterilize children, many of whom are likely to grow up to be same-sex attracted.

“Amnesty International is one of many groups, including my former employer the ACLU, that hate women and girls as a sex class and are flagrantly homophobic.”

While studying the trans issue several years ago, I read the prediction that what would likely end the craze would be lawsuits from people who were sterilized as minors by the trans industry. In the same Substack feed where I saw Dansky’s article, I got this article on a lawsuit recently filed by the Federal Trade Commission and several states against the organization (WPATH) that set the “standard of care” for transitioning children. The article’s author discussed how WPATH knew that there was no credible scientific evidence for its recommendations, as revealed in its internal record. This may be the lawsuit that finally ends the trans craze, which will take its place next to eugenics and lobotomies in the grim annals of Western medicine.

Seeing Amnesty International front for the trans craze took me back a generation, when I was shocked to get pleas from Amnesty to call for the arrest and prosecution of Slobodan Milošević at the kangaroo court at The Hague. Milošević died in that tribunal’s custody and he may well have been murdered.

I corresponded with Ed Herman around when I got those entreaties from Amnesty. I expressed my dismay to Ed. He agreed that it was scandalous, and he stated that he only donated to local human rights groups around the world, as everything else had been corrupted.

Several years later, Ed co-authored an article on how Human Rights Watch was an imperial tool, not a genuine human rights organization. When he published it, I asked Ed if he would follow it up with one on Amnesty International, but he replied that he did not plan to, as Amnesty was not nearly as bad as Human Rights Watch was. Several years before that, Ed wrote that the leading “human rights” organizations adhered to an increasingly irrelevant definition of human rights. Late in his life, Ed began writing about how Amnesty had become an outright imperial asset, such as in Syria and Rwanda.

This is the world that we live in, in which “human rights” organizations are complicit in genocide, sterilizing children, and oppressing women. I doubt that Ed would have written about the trans craze, as he had bigger imperial fish to fry, but today’s reading had me thinking about what Ed might have had to say. The large human rights organizations are shams.

Dansky worked for the ACLU before it became corrupted by a billionaire “donor,” and the ACLU has led the promotion of the trans craze, which isn’t about human rights at all, as Dansky had made clear in her work. The trans craze is profoundly anti-human rights, in the best tradition of Orwell, so it makes a kind of macabre sense that Amnesty promotes the sterilization of children and the oppression of women.

I originally asked for a six-month sabbatical in late 2012, which resulted in losing my job, after ten years at a software company. I did not work for two years, and spent a year writing “Energy and the Human Journey.” I write plenty, but few have stepped up to write with me. Serg is doing what I am looking for, as he fishes in leftist waters, but he will likely help most by just broadcasting to the world. He may find somebody who can hit the notes in leftist circles, but they may come from different directions.

In the 12 years since I published “Energy and the Human Journey,” I resumed my career, which demanded insane hours once again (all-nighters, etc.), but I keep on studying. I try to keep up on more than 100 scientific and scholarly topics.

As science has become more interdisciplinary, the concept of consilience has gained prominence. When independent lines of evidence converge on the same answer, scientists gain greater confidence in their views. Converging lines of evidence make Holocene catastrophism highly unlikely. There were certainly climate events that wreaked havoc on early farming societies and early civilizations, but Velikovskian catastrophism does not hold up in the slightest, in light of the known evidence.

I consider pre-Holocene ancient advanced civilizations as extremely unlikely, unless they were extraterrestrial in origin, but I have never seen compelling evidence for them. I have also seen, for many years, arguments that the necropolis at Giza is over 10,000 years old, that it was built with exotic technology, that it was an energy source that powered Ancient Egypt, and the like. I have never seen persuasive evidence for those ideas, similar to how Graham Hancock argued that Antarctica was ice-free less than a millennium ago. The Antarctic ice cap began forming tens of millions of years ago and it has not changed much for millions of years. Hancock’s “evidence” is comprised of some old maps that seem to hint at Antarctica, if we strain to see it, and scientific “evidence” that does not support an ice-free Antarctica at all. But he duped his gullible audiences. I don’t want to pick on Hancock too much, as the fringes are filled with rubbish like that.

To this day, I am approached, even by scientists, who want to know whether the Moon landings were faked or not, as people such as Bart Sibrel keep making the rounds on talk shows that cater to such tripe. Among the comments at Yahoo! on recent articles on the Artemis mission were many jeers that the Artemis mission was faked, that we never landed men on the Moon, and some even stated that Earth was flat. It was a good barometer of the zaniness amongst the public. A reader commented on my previous post, on how all political stripes have their crazy ideas. Sanity is rare. The right is often proudly scientifically illiterate (denying Global Warming, evolution, etc.), while the left engages in scientism, but they are also scientifically illiterate such as their embracement of the trans craze and mandatory vaccinations, neither of which have any credible scientific support for them. As Kara Dansky recently stated, among the Democratic establishment, nobody will admit that a woman is an adult human female, so that men who pretend to be women can be treated as such. Similarly, there is no credible evidence that vaccination ever conquered a disease, and a mountain of evidence that vaccines harm and kill people. Forced vaccination is reminiscent of the Nazis.

The discernment that I refer to is largely just using horse sense toward the evidence. But almost nobody can do it, as they defend their self-serving ideologies, none of which will survive in what I call the Fifth Epoch.

I began this series of posts with my idealistic youth and first energy dreams, to growing professional frustration until a desperate prayer landed me in Dennis’s company in Seattle in 1986. Then my big adventures began. After the Seattle company was wiped out and stolen, I chased Dennis to Boston to help him rebuild, where I soon became his partner. Then events became wild as we moved to my home town and we had skyrocketing success until we were wiped out. After those radicalizing adventures, I began my days of study, which led to my website, largely as it stands today. I engaged in another dozen years of study to produce my lifetime’s most ambitious essay. By then, I had settled on my current “choir” approach.

My message is really simple, which is all that I need the choir to learn:

1. Energy is the ballgame in our universe and always has been;

2. Life is all about energy, in acquiring enough to survive and reproduce before becoming an energy source for other life;

3. Microbes made the energetic breakthroughs that allowed for the rise of complex life and the eon of complex life;

4. The human journey has always depended on the interplay of energy, intelligence, and tools, all three of which progressed from the first stone tools to today;

5. I have identified four Epochs of the human journey so far, we are on the brink of the Fifth, and the choir can be critical in helping its arrival; it might be the key missing ingredient;

6. Each Epoch was founded on its energy practices and sources (fire, megafauna, soils, forests, and fossil fuels);

7. Each Epoch saw vastly more energy capture, increasing collective intelligence (and individual in the First Epoch, which is when human evolution had its most profound impact), and improvements in tools;

8. Those advances made each Epoch more humane and less violent than the previous one;

9. The technologies that will usher in the Fifth Epoch are older than I am, but they are sequestered from public awareness and use by history’s greatest cover-up for reasons of Earthly power;

10. I repeatedly lived through that cover-up and have been a part of several failed attempts to bring those technologies to the public; it was the weakness of the efforts that primarily caused their demise, and organized suppression only “helped” a little;

11. The greatest triumph of the global elite is making the Fifth Epoch unimaginable, and the vast majority of humanity has acquiesced to the brainwashing and conditioning;

12. Time is running out, as humanity is rapidly making Earth uninhabitable;

13. For now, I seek people who can simply imagine the Fifth Epoch, and once that song is sung in chorus by enough of us, the rest will be easy; I have a pupil hitting the notes today, so I know that what I am attempting is possible, the problem will be finding the people, and I know who I am looking for: disillusioned idealists;

14. Then the task will be “just” developing that technology for safe and harmless public use and giving it away, which will be the biggest event in the human journey; the world will end as we know it, but nobody will miss it;

15. I call my approach the love and enlightenment approach; nobody has tried it yet, and I figured that it was worth one man’s life to try it out and I hope to have another generation of good years ahead of me.

I had the idea of doing an oral history long ago, but it would have meant a camera crew and months of their time. With improving technology, I can do it myself. I do it for two reasons:

1. To put it on the record;

2. To reduce the cognitive distance between me and the people I seek.

Dennis Lee, Brian O’Leary, and I had experiences that few people can believe happened. Our lives were so preposterous that Brian’s being asked/ordered by NASA to go to Mars is an amusing footnote. The written word is a fine thing, but it is a poor way to communicate experiences that few can believe. My video performances are purposefully not polished, as I try to make myself as human as I can, to help reduce that cognitive distance.

My material is also intended to bring people along slowly. Newcomers often dive straight into the deep end of the pool, where they usually drown. I continually hear newcomer “bright ideas,” of approaches that they think will magically solve the problem in minutes, and that is their egos talking.

Before newcomers try to tackle free-energy physics, they can just do the work to understand why Dennis’s heating system is the world’s best and has been completely wiped out in North America. Before trying to understand organized suppression by the global elite, they can just do the work to understand how they were lied to from their cradles, like I was. That is normal. Then they may be able to engage the advanced curriculum, but even that is really not too hard to understand. My work is not conceptually difficult; it just flies in the face of our indoctrination and conditioning, which is why few people can truly understand it. I seek those who can.

When I found the evidence that sealed it for me on the Moon landings – they happened as popularly presented – it began my collaborations with Brian O’Leary. In August, 2001, we stood in the California governor’s office, as Brian tried to interest California officials in free energy, and we were nearly run out of town. Brian and I had our epic note-trading session that day. The 9/11 terror attacks happened the next month, and for the next year, I was busy finishing my website. I withdrew from public interaction, Professor Wayne’s death hit me hard, and then I had a front-row seat for the drumbeat for the invasion of Iraq, which is the crime of the 21^st century so far. It was one of the most emotionally agonizing times of my life.

In late 2002, one of Bucky Fuller’s pupils called me a comprehensivist and I did not know what he meant. He had me read some of Fuller’s work, and the lightbulb finally went on for me. I read Fuller’s work in January, 2003, soon before I read an article by Richard Heinberg, which was my introduction to Peak Oilers. Heinberg soon published his first Peak Oil book, which I avidly read. I then resumed my science studies in earnest, and Fuller and Heinberg get credit for initiating it.

A New Age activist promoted my work at the time. She knew Heinberg and introduced us. Heinberg mentioned Sparky Sweet in his book and seemed interested in free energy, but he also quasi-ridiculed it. I contacted Heinberg, but I soon realized that his interest in free energy was feigned, as all that he could do was beat the drums of doom. That was when I began wondering if people were addicted to scarcity.

A month or so after my interaction with Heinberg, Brian asked me to help him co-found what became known as the New Energy Movement (“NEM”). I have already written on that ordeal at length, so I will keep it short. The other NEM board members immediately began allying with people that I knew were dishonest, and none of them understood my objection. Only a gathering of saints has a prayer in that milieu, and when I saw them allying with criminals to start off, I wanted out. Our first speaker to commit to our conference was murdered a few days after he committed, and Brian immediately began planning his move to South America. Brian begged me to stay until the conference, and I did. I poured $17,000 of my money into NEM before I bowed out. I had no contact with anybody at NEM for years afterward. The other NEM board members soon kicked Brian out of NEM. It was not the first time that Brian was kicked out of an organization that he founded. The decline after Brian and I left NEM was grotesque, as one of Brian’s chief assailants ran the organization while he defended the leading free-energy skeptic, who stalked me on the Internet for a decade. That assailant of Brian is in prison today for child molestation, NEM seems to exist in name only today, and it can’t even get the country right where Brian lived his last years.

During my NEM days, as we tried to get Brian onto shows and into venues to promote his message, Brian was totally shut out while Heinberg was a celebrity in left circles with his drumbeat of doom. In his last years, Brian was beside himself on how free energy was a forbidden topic in all “progressive” circles.

I worked 60-hour weeks at my day job and only occasionally wrote an essay (these essays (1, 2) are largely from those years). I spent the month of July, 2006, interacting with Richard Stallman, who was a classic instance of what I call Level 3 awareness of the free energy issue, which is where most scientists end up. They dismiss free energy “contrary to the laws of physics,” and they dismiss evidence of organized suppression as a “conspiracy theory.”

As I wrote this post, my forum was targeted by denial-of-service attacks. I had over 130,000 “users” at one time on my forum as I wrote this post, as somebody is trying to ensure that my work is not read. This is simply a new form of censorship, which I am all too familiar with. Since my assailants can’t troll as in the past, preventing my work from being read is the next best thing. I have had the denial-of-service attackers blocked in the past, but they have a global reach and attack from different nations.

Dennis Lee arrived at my home to invite me to the White House in August, 2006. That was the final event that saw my wife once again insist that I get trauma therapy. I did, and the clouds finally parted on my monster of a midlife crisis. Sometime in 2007, I contacted Brian, and about the first thing that he did was complain to me about how he had been kicked out of NEM. His influence led to my first public interview in early 2008, and this essay, inspired by an activist in Brian’s circle, brought Brian back into my life, and we had a joint interview with Bill Ryan and Kerry Cassidy the next year. Brian then enlisted my help in approaching the Department of Energy (“DOE”), and we co-authored this proposal, at the same time that Dennis was being banned from the energy industry in the USA. Twelve years earlier, I carried Dennis’s spears with the DOE. Brian had a heart attack the next year, I knew that the end was near, and I became his biographer. Brian died in 2011, with his life shortened by his adventures, courtesy of the spooks. The closest that Brian came to publicly disclosing that event was in his last book.

Dennis repeatedly tried a right-wing populist approach, while Brian tried a left-wing populist approach. All were spectacular failures, and they permanently cured me of the mass-movement approach. They simply do not aim high enough. Dennis had his companies stolen repeatedly, while Brian got kicked out of the organizations that he founded. I am only hitting the “highlights” of those efforts. Dennis, Wayne, and Brian head my pantheon. The voice in my head led me directly to Dennis and Wayne, and my life and Brian’s had many overlaps before our fateful meeting, which I am sure that my “friends” also orchestrated.

After several years of no contact with the public, I began joining forums where I saw my work being discussed. Not only did trolls swarm wherever I appeared, but so did my “skeptical” stalker. They allayed with forum admins to kick me or chase me out of those forums. After several such episodes, I decided that I would only participate in my own forum, and with an exception or two, that has been my practice for the past 20 years. Bill Ryan learned similar lessons to mine and mounted his Avalon forum, which does not allow trolling. I have been there since 2011.

When I resumed my scientific studies in 2003, I was able to do it with popularized science, which is plenty for the work that I do and for the people that I seek. People do not need to be professional scientists or mathematicians to understand my work. I sometimes study specialist literature, but that requires a bit of a learning curve, especially around the technical jargon. I try to avoid technical jargon in my work.

I studied many branches of science as I honed my comprehensive perspective. I indulged my first scientific love: paleology, which is the study of Earth’s ancient past. I went back to the beginning of the universe, the beginning of our solar system, the beginnings of life on Earth, complex life, the migration of animals to land, the rise of vertebrates, dinosaurs, mammals, primates, apes, and humanity. Writing was invented about 5,000 years ago, so historians have something to work with since then. But the best histories today also use physical evidence of various kinds, such as artifacts, DNA, geological and climate studies, etc. The rise of interdisciplinary efforts has been one of the most auspicious trends in science and scholarship, which was often overspecialized. More scientists and scholars think comprehensively than ever before.

Several things happened as I developed a deeper comprehensive perspective. One was that it became clear how untenable Velikovsky’s work was. The idea that Venus was born in an eruption from Jupiter, or that planetary near misses were responsible for Biblical events, became ludicrous ideas to me, not taken seriously by any astronomer on Earth. I did not study the megafauna extinctions to prove Velikovsky’s catastrophic scenarios wrong, but his explanation was even less tenable than the climate-change explanation that scientists have long promoted. I soon realized that those scientists were defending their in-group: humanity. An almost identical delusion was the idea that the human journey was peaceful and in harmony with nature until the rise of agriculture and civilization. Those ideas became academic dogmas that are still influential today, although the evidence increasingly does not support them and most scientists finally broke ranks. I have called those related delusions variations of the “Anything But Homo Sapiens” hypothesis (“ABHS”).

Scientists are human, too, and the scientific ideal is rarely, if ever, achieved, just like there is no real free press, free market, or democracy. They are largely illusions, and reality can become the opposite of them. Robber barons even influenced the course of astronomy, and political-economic situations have influenced and even corrupted all branches of science, to one degree or another. I saw it particularly in biomedical science, which even the defenders of science call its flimsiest and most corrupt branch, and the medical racket was in our faces like never before during the COVID-19 pandemic. The assault by “skeptics” and scientists on paranormal phenomena is a big black mark against today’s scientists, as they try to wipe out any threat to their sherry-sipping worldviews.

But I eventually learned that all political stripes have their self-serving dogmas that are impervious to the evidence. The elevation of ideology over reality seems to be a human universal, with very few exceptions, which is partly what makes my task so difficult.

Three years in row, beginning in 2005, I visited James Gilliland’s ranch near Mount Adams to watch UFOs fly over and I was never disappointed. Whatever those lights in the sky were, they seemed to interact with James’s and my minds. James had many amazing stories to tell.

While I resumed my science studies in 2003, it was not until my midlife crisis ended in 2006 that began studying in earnest for what became my lifetime’s most ambitious essay, which took me a year to write, in 2013-2014.

According to modern cosmology and physics, our universe is nothing but energy, and as I performed my studies, the energy issue continually arose. When I wrote “Energy and the Human Journey,” in 2013-2014, I also largely updated the rest of my essays. But when I began to update my energy racket essay, which I first wrote around 2001, I let the early chapters stand, as a reflection of my thinking back then. When I reread it, twelve years later, I was surprised that my understanding of many issues. I had a very good idea of the potential of free energy when I became Dennis Lee’s partner in 1987, but when I reread those chapters, I was surprised at my level of understanding, and even then I was on my way to what became my Epochal framework of the human journey. I wrote the “big picture” section of Brian’s and my proposal to the DOE in 2009. This essay was published in 2010, and this section of it is really close to what became my Epochal framework. I did not settle on my five Epochs until around when I began to write Energy and the Human Journey.

Peter Ward is my favorite paleologist, and not because he taught at the University of Washington. He was the leading popularizer of paleology that I read. I have a dozen of his books. I contacted him in 2014, to get his permission to reproduce a graphic from one of his books. He not only gave his approval within an hour of my emailing him out of the blue (when I wasn’t sure that I would hear back at all), but he spent hours reading my essay called it one of the best efforts that he ever saw on summarizing the journey of life on Earth. That was an amazing response, and it told me that I was at least doing a competent job of it. I was not asking my readers to read mediocre work that could be seen as a continuation of a childhood passion. It is an important part of my work.

A major point of my work is to help my readers think in energy terms about events and trends that are often not seen like that. As I wrote “Energy and the Human Journey,” the contrast of the Epochs became ever clearer. Each Epoch was based on its energy practices, without which the Epochs would have never come to pass. From stone tools to the control of fire to the megafauna that fueled the human expansion across Earth to the forests and soils that powered the agrarian (Third) Epoch to the fossil fuels that made our industrial (Fourth) Epoch possible and still fuels it, it was one energy source after another. Each Epoch was also so radically different from what came before that nobody ever saw the new Epoch coming, and people of each Epoch had a hard time imagining the previous Epoch.

I first sketched what I came to call the Fifth Epoch in my “visions” essay, written in 2002. My chapter in “Energy and the Human Journey” was a more comprehensive version, which reflected the dozen years of study since 2002. Two years ago, I published a book preview, which had a brief description of the Fifth Epoch, and it reflected the decade of study since I wrote “Energy and the Human Journey.”

Going back to my first hearing about Sparky Sweet in 1990, it was evident that making free-energy technology is not that difficult. If Sparky could make prototypes in his homemade lab, it can’t be that technically difficult. Mark Comings made one in a basement in days. In Steven Greer’s The Lost Century, he discussed several free-energy inventors, including Sparky. Greer also discussed what he called “Crazy Inventor Syndrome.” I have long called it “inventoritis.” Inventors are part of the problem, in their greed, delusions of grandeur, etc. As I learned during my days with Dennis, then the problem becomes the “supporters” who want to steal it.

As Brian tried to educate the public about in his last years, a working prototype in a garage is a long way from something that the public can use. The Fifth Epoch won’t arrive via garages and workshops. This is an industrial project, but it is a comparatively small one. That is why the organized suppression has been so vigilant, strangling efforts in their cradles. What my friend saw in his underground technology show is the 35^th generation or so of what Sparky developed, but first-generation technology is plenty to usher in the Fifth Epoch.

I have long discussed the many paths of failure for this Epochal task. But the biggest obstacle of all is a sleepwalking public that is completely ignorant of what is happening, and they almost always react with denial and fear if the subject is broached. The global elite could not ask for any more. The greatest triumph of the global elite today is making the Fifth Epoch unimaginable. We can’t pursue something that we can’t even imagine. So, my work is all about making it imaginable, making it clear that those sequestered and suppressed exotic technologies are the key to it (it won’t happen without it), and what the potential is if those technologies were safely used by the public: a new Epoch, and one in which scarcity is permanently abolished. No more poverty, war, environmental destruction, disease, etc. New horizons of the human potential will come into view, and I think that we will see a new type of human. To his credit, Greer knows that the arrival of the Fifth Epoch ends the world as we know it, but nobody will miss it.

I lived through the agonies of the businessman’s and mass-movement approaches and became aware of the many failed approaches. To one degree or another, those failed approached were rooted in scarcity and fear, which sowed the seeds of their failure. As Seth said, the means become the ends, and that for an idealistic effort to succeed, every step has to be worthy of the goal. My spiritual background is largely why I survived my journey.

People often deny the transformative effects of free energy and argue that evil-minded elites will always run things, that free energy will just mean more wars, destruction, the strip-mining of Earth. Brian noted that bizarre schism, of the Utopians versus the end-of-the-worlders over the free-energy issue. I have discussed many easily predictable effects of the arrival of free energy. I understand caution and making it safe, but all that the end-of-the-worlders can see is catastrophe, and they are impervious to any other discussion, as scarcity and fear dominate their perspectives, even when the arrival of free energy would mean a world of abundance. They are stuck in their paradigm. They won’t begin to understand until the Fifth Epoch arrives, but that goes for the vast majority of humanity, and that is normal.

Long ago, I knew who I was looking for:

1. They care;

2. They awakened;

3. They were scientifically literate – at least enough to understand my work.

Brian thought that only “spiritualists” could anchor a successful effort, and he was probably right. I never saw a materialist who truly understood, as their faith stunted their awareness (or their stunted awareness is why they chose that faith). Brian called for a new science that was liberated from materialism and other limitations.

It took the NEM disaster to finally cure me of mass-movement approaches, and I was on my way to my “choir” idea after that. My approach really has not changed since then, and I have spent the past 36 years making my material worthy of the interest of the people that I seek. The Internet is the best medium that I have, but it is still quite limited. Few people are courageous enough to be real people on the Internet, and some of it is understandable, but that is a minimal level of courage that my effort requires. The choir cannot be comprised of the anonymous, which is one reason why it is so small today.

In summary, what did I learn from 2002 to 2014?

1. Energy is name of the game in our universe, as our universe is nothing but energy, and energy is the central concern for all life on Earth and the human journey. This became far clearer to me in those years of study.

2. A successful free-energy effort has to aim far higher than the mass-movement mentality, capitalist approaches, inventors as the key, retail politics, and other doomed approaches. Otherwise, the efforts soon collapse and organized suppression is brought to bear on any efforts with promise, which such efforts easily fall prey to.

3. My shorthand for the people that I seek is “disillusioned idealist.” Any idealists who go forth in the world, pursuing their ideals, will become disillusioned, which woke them up. People can only awaken from experience, and the idealists that I seek already had their hearts in the right place. I cannot help anybody achieve those qualities, without which my effort cannot succeed.

4. Those disillusioned idealists likely need to have graduated beyond materialism. I am very willing to have a materialist who can envision the Fifth Epoch, but I never met one, and Brian was likely right, that they can’t.

5. The members of a successful effort, for the kind that I have in mind, need to be scientifically literate, but no more than is necessary to understand my work, which is based on popularized science. It is not a heavy intellectual lift, but it is not negligible.

6. Only people with those qualities can achieve the comprehensive perspectives that my effort requires. Anything less, then people get lost in the weeds, jump down rabbit holes to nowhere, and the like, as the fringes are filled with rubbish. I see it all the time. This is not easy terrain to navigate.

That is how I came to my approach, during my bizarre journey since my teenage dreams. If I can find the people for it, it will work. The past dozen years since then has not changed my approach, and a pupil has been hitting the notes lately. But the learning never ends, and the next post will be on how the past dozen years have gone for me and my approach.

When I staggered out my home town in the summer of 1990, radicalized, I wondered how much that I had been taught while growing up was true. Everything was on my table for reevaluation in those days.

I first heard of Lies of Our Times (LOOT) while driving to work in early 1990. When I moved to Ohio that summer, the first thing that I did, study-wise, was subscribe to it. The first page of my first issue is still the one that I remember best, as it dealt with how the New York Times “translated” Arabic script for its readers, as it portrayed all Arabs as religious fanatics. I first heard of Noam Chomsky the previous year, from a roommate. Noam wrote an article for LOOT each month, which was eventually compiled into a book. Ed Herman was LOOT’s editor, and he was likely the author of that “translation” article. Thus began my media studies. In the end, Ed’s Propaganda Model provides the most compelling explanation that I know of for why the media serves up the propaganda that it does. As long as we have a capitalist media, the Propaganda Model will be relevant.

While I use the 1% conspiracy and 99% complicity framework to explain much of how our world really works, Ed argued that the 1% conspiracy was ostensibly not needed to explain media performance, and I agree. Ed did not deny elite conspiracies in the media, but he argued that they were not needed to describe how the media functioned. The Propaganda Model is a classic structural model.

That same autumn, I read Ralph McGehee’s book on his days at the CIA, read about Gaston Naessens and obtained Medical Dark Ages, which was my big wakeup call on the medical racket. I subscribed to Covert Action Information Bulletin and similar publications. I even subscribed to far right publications such as The Spotlight, as I studied the entire political spectrum, including Holocaust Deniers.

I also studied my mentor’s and Victor Fischer’s patents in conjunction with studying thermodynamics. I then understood why Dennis Lee had the world’s best heating system, and it still is. I also began reading a lot of channeled and mystical material, but I also began doing that in 1989, as I was also attending those Seth sessions. My wife and I joined the local mystical community near Dayton, and we joined the local chapter of a new science organization, which led to my meeting Brian O’Leary the next summer.

Even though I was an eager student, it still took me about two years to really understand what Noam was saying, and I soon began a brief correspondence with him, beginning in 1992, soon after I watched the documentary of his life. The year 1992 was also the 500^th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s “discovery” of the Americas, and I worked in Columbus. That same year, I read of Columbus in Howard Zinn’s masterpiece, which led to my Columbus essay. That same year, I read David Stannard’s American Holocaust, which was my big wakeup call on what the “settling” of the Americas by Europe was really like. It was the first time that I saw Junípero Serra’s saintly qualities questioned, like how Zinn’s book was the first time that I saw Columbus’s image challenged. I was quickly building my library, which currently stands at about 3,000 books.

Two years later, when my grandfather surprisingly led me to a famous battlefield of his youth, I had amazingly already read about that battle. While I was close to my grandfather and aunt, the Ventura ordeal ruined my relationships with my immediate family. I did not have any contact with them for years, and have not had any contact for more than the past decade, and I don’t plan to again. After I moved to Ohio, I heard that my mother made a scrapbook of all the lying newspaper articles and took it on tour to my friends, family, and investors, telling the story of her son the criminal. By then, it did not even hurt any longer, as I was so used to it. I received other attacks from friends and family. Relationships that I thought would survive anything crumbled during the Ventura ordeal.

From 1996 to 1997, and 1999 to early 2002, I had my email address on my site and took on all comers, in those days of Internet innocence. I met many pals that way, but I also fielded plenty of attacks. When a former friend tried to anonymously attack me (a quasi-criminal attack) and then tried to wreck my fragile relationship with my mother when I caught him in the act, that was the last straw, and I stopped interacting with the public for several years.

Wayne died in 2002, with his life ruined and shortened because of his involvement with me. My midlife crisis likely began in 1999, Wayne’s death sent me into the dark phase of my midlife crisis, and the clouds did not begin to lift after my invitation to the White House.

I even looked into the Apollo Moon landings, as nothing was off-limits to me in those days. A decade later, Brian dragged me down the faked Moon landings rabbit hole. I can’t regret taking that plunge, and it was a great example of rubbish on the fringes that is continually recycled to this day.

In my professional life, I found a way to easily improve millions of lives, but nobody wanted to hear it, especially the people whose lives would have been improved. I tried to take my company paperless in the back office, but nobody above me understood what I was talking about, and they soon went out of business. It took another decade before companies began doing it. I saw some of the wreckage of the Savings and Loan Scandal.

In 1995, I got dragged down the Velikovsky rabbit hole while snooping into Carl Sagan and the “skeptics.” I had my very own “skeptical” stalker for a decade, who even tried to contact me last year. In early 1996, Brian published his first free energy book, and I became his biggest fan. I soon began my second and last stint with Dennis, nearly went to prison for my trouble, but I soon came home to Seattle, and the next five years were largely devoted to writing my website, largely as it stands today.

I was a comprehensivist and didn’t know that I was one, until one of Bucky Fuller’s pupils had me read some of Bucky’s work. Then the lightbulb went on, and my work has been consciously comprehensive ever since.

This is a very short account of a dozen years of study and writing, largely in my “spare” time, although it took years of full-time effort to write my site. I studied many other topics that I have not discussed in this post, but they are largely evident in my essays from then. My most ambitious essays from those days include my American Empire, medical racket, energy racket, war, and “conspiracy” essays. Nearly all of the essays below this link were written in those days.

So, what did I learn in those dozen years, especially related to my current strategy? Here is some of it.

1. As I suspected, I was lied to about many things while growing up. From Serra the saint to the daily newspaper to the wonders of capitalism, the lies came fast and furious.

2. When I began discovering how deep the lies went, I discovered that nobody wanted to hear it. I even watched people embrace certain death rather than question their indoctrination. For the vast majority of humanity, they swallow their indoctrination, hook, line, and sinker, and carry it to their graves.

3. A select few woke up beyond their indoctrination and conditioning, but there weren’t many of them. Ralph McGehee’s awakening was powerful, and it was like Dennis Lee’s in ways. I began to understand that it takes one to know one.

4. The fringes are filled with rubbish. I spent a lot time looking into issues to see if they had merit, and faked Moon landings and Biblical catastrophism were among them. Neither of them were valid, in my opinion. Those are two of innumerable fringe topics that have avid bases of supporters, people who devoted their lives to the issues, and they have either no validity or it is greatly exaggerated.

5. Banging on the government’s doors is a waste of time, at best. I helped Dennis and Brian approach the Department of Energy (1, 2), we met with Al Gore at the White House, Bill Clinton knew Dennis by name, and I was invited to the White House. Soon before he died, Brian informed me that electoral politics was a “dead end,” and he would have known.

6. Billionaire “philanthropist” is an oxymoron. The billionaires that we encountered were virtually all opportunists, and the rare ones who really try to help get horse’s heads in their beds.

7. Environmentalists treat free energy like the enemy. This is one of the more dismaying experiences for free-energy newcomers, who think that environmentalists would be natural allies.

8. There is no organization not already devoted to it that will be an ally of free-energy attempts. I was well on my way to learning that lesson in those days. All the doors have been banged on, many times.

I finished my website in September, 2002, and had a front-row seat to the drumbeat for war, and the final evolution to my current approach comes next.

In June, 1987, I drove a truck with all of our company’s assets in it to my home town of Ventura, California. On the way from Boston, we stopped at Amway’s headquarters in Michigan, where they tested a system that that salesman in Boston, who got his family involved, broke. Amway declined involvement based on one broken system (it only got a COP of 3 or 4, when it should have gotten a 10 that day). Dennis and his family went back to Dennis’s home town of Yakima, Washington, where his father was dying. After Dennis said his goodbyes, they came to Ventura, where I soon lived with them again.

Wayne handed Dennis the $40K that he had raised, and Dennis asked me if I had any more friends like that. Wayne and I were the only two investors that Dennis ever had who did not try to control him. We soon rented a facility, Dennis ran his usual ads for salesmen (when I likely heard the fate of the company that stole my mentor’s engine), and he ran an ad in USA Today, offering to sell informational kits on how to build, sell, and install his heat pump. Checks began pouring in from around the USA, and I was soon working 70-hour weeks again. I have not seen that kind of explosive growth before or since. We went from a few volunteers to 40 employees in two months, and we had to rent an additional building.

Just as we began taking off, a few attempts were made to steal our company. By that time, I had witnessed or heard of several attempts to steal our companies, and I had only been with Dennis a little over a year. I told Dennis how shocking it was to witness those theft attempts, and Dennis replied that the first 50 times he saw it, he was shocked, too. It was an example of how my lessons kept building on themselves. In my previous post in this series, I mentioned the quasi-criminal entrepreneurial waters in the USA, and I was beginning to get both barrels of it.

My mentor came aboard with his idea to marry his engine with Dennis’s heat pump panels to do free energy, and we began to build a prototype of it. Then Victor Fischer came aboard on New Year’s Day, 1988, with his own hydraulic heat engine, and Dennis was going stratospheric. Then came the raid. When the sheriff’s deputies stole our technical material in the raid, it announced their criminality. This happened only a few miles from where I was raised, and even though I suspected that something was coming, it was still a shock, and it rapidly began going downhill for me. Operating with no records was only part of the fun of those days.

I left the operation by May, when Dennis got the billion-dollar offer from the CIA to fold the operation, which I did not learn about until I read it in Dennis’s book eight years later. It was no big surprise when I learned it. I had recently heard Ron Waugh’s story. They just add zeroes when they need to.

Then came the arrest, and my nightmare truly began. The turning point of my life was several months later, during my day on the witness stand, when the prosecution tried to intimidate me as I testified. I was in Kangaroo Court, and I never saw the world the same way after that day. The lowest part of my journey was the next month, and I got over it and sacrificed my life to bust Dennis out of jail, which worked, in the biggest miracle that I ever witnessed. The next year was almost fun. I worked at a medical lab in LA, which corrupt officials and the media tried to put out of business. I was bearing the brunt of the energy and medical rackets at the same time, as if my unseen “friends” wanted to make sure that I got the message. My money hired the USA’s leading Constitutionalist attorney, and we had the spectacle of a prosecutorial misconduct hearing, before the judge took Dennis’s attorney hostage, to force Dennis to plead guilty to not filing a form. That was his “crime,” when all was said and done. The officials tried to get Dennis murdered by the inmates, but Dennis is the Indiana Jones of Free Energy, and is hard to kill. He got “lucky,” and only got broken fingers and teeth knocked out.

We heard from Dennis’s attorney that the CEO of the local electric company ordered the hit on us, but he was likely following orders himself. I left my home town soon after getting married in 1990, and I was thoroughly radicalized. So, what did I learn through all of that? Those four years with Dennis comprised the steepest learning curve of my life, and the lessons were legion. The lessons never end, and many of my early lessons were simply expanded over the years, as more facets became evident.

I have written about the lessons that I learned many times, and they inform my efforts today. Those lessons include:

1. Personal integrity is the world’s scarcest commodity. I resisted that lesson, every step of the way, until it was beaten into my head in no uncertain terms. It included the betrayals and attacks by friends and family, business associates, and the criminality of the media and corrupt officials. In every direction I looked, it was low integrity and criminality, but there were also beacons in the darkness, and Dennis and Wayne above all others (and their ever-faithful wives).

2. Personal integrity is the world’s most precious commodity. A handful of us stood up against surreal corruption and lived to try again. Saints such as Wayne are very few and far between, but they represent the best of humanity, and those overgrown Boy and Girl Scouts may be humanity’s only hope.

3. The global elite are very real, as is their organized suppression. This was one of those lessons that I learned over many years, beginning with the Seattle events, continuing with the Boston events, and culminating with the nightmare in Ventura. In the years since then, trading notes with people such as Brian O’Leary, Mark Comings, and many others in the free-energy field, receiving Steven Greer’s reporting, and so on, painted the picture that I see of that situation, but we only met their minions, even when that dissident faction kidnapped my friend for his underground technology show. Nearly all of the organized suppression is structural in nature, not conspiratorial, around my 1% conspiracy and 99% complicity ratio.

4. Free energy and related technologies are very real. Soon before leaving Ventura, I heard about Sparky Sweet, who had the goods. That was the first time that I had heard of undeniable free-energy technology. Several years later, my friend told me about his underground technology show. Several years after that, I saw Steven Greer’s Disclosure Project witnesses describe the same technologies that my friend saw. When I told Brian about my friend’s show, Brian was not even surprised, and replied with, “He got a show from the spooks.” In the circles that I eventually ran in, that show was not big news.

5. John Kennedy was not killed by Lee Harvey Oswald. I knew it as soon as I read it in Gary Wean’s book, but it was another 12 years before I went public with my findings. The declassification of Operation Northwoods should have removed all reasonable doubt about Gary’s story, but his account is still largely dismissed and denied in the USA, even by assassination researchers. Sitting presidents have been outright puppets ever since. If the world’s most powerful politician is a puppet, what politician isn’t? That is one of the reasons why I know that what I call retail politics will be no help for a free-energy effort.

6. Inventors are not the answer. This was one of my delusions that it took me the longest to shed, because of how I was raised. Inventors are a small part of the puzzle.

7. The businessman’s approach to free energy will not work. This one I had pretty much learned by 1990, but it took another stint with Dennis to make it crystal clear to me.

8. No nation has the right stuff for this Epochal task. This is a universal condition of humanity, and the global elite truly have a global reach.

9. The mass movement mentality will not work for this. I had to be involved with five mass-movements before I finally realized how unworkable that approach was. I had lived through three of them by then, and two more were ahead of me.

10. The media is a lie factory. Enough said on that for now.

11. A successful effort will need to be grounded in love and the truth. Once again, I had largely learned that by 1990, and it became clearer over the years since then.

12. The global elite are fractured, and their interventions are relatively modest. I still did not know that there was a global elite by that time, but I soon began to understand it. The conspiracist literature that I encountered was focused on Rockefellers, Rothschilds, and the like, but they are not at the top. That underground technology show was given by a dissident faction of the global elite, and I saw that we do most of the dirty work of the global elite, gratis, in our lack of integrity and sentience. The global elite really do not have to work that hard at it, not for controlling a planet.

13. The fringes are filled with rubbish, but there is also gold there, if you know where to look. It is not 100% rubbish, not by a long shot, but I saw the stunted perspectives of conspiracists, scientists, and how easily led astray the scientifically illiterate were. The fringes are a minefield, and I have spent most a lifetime navigating them. The masses exercise very little discernment, and even back then, I saw people jump down rabbit holes to nowhere, and I constantly see it to this day.

To one degree or another, I had learned those lessons by 1990, when my days of study began in earnest. My lifetime’s greatest learning curve ended when I left Ventura, and my views have not greatly changed since then. More lessons were ahead of me, but my big lessons were learned by 1990 and everything since then has been relatively minor.

Less than two months ago, I wrote about the coming El Niño. It is here, and it will likely be one of the greatest ever measured. When I met Brian O’Leary in Sacramento in August, 2001, I was reading Late Victorian Holocausts. It was about how a series of El Niño events in the late 1800s and early 1900s caused famines that killed tens of millions. A big part of it was European dominance, as starving imperial peasants shipped food to Europe. British rule in India meant an increase in famine frequency by a factor of 30. The English did something similar to Ireland in the 1840s.

Global Warming makes events such as El Niños more severe. The biggest risk that I see is epic crop failures that lead to famine. There are already warnings on the impact to the global food supply and other effects.

In what I call the Fifth Epoch, humanity will no longer be at the mercy of the weather. I know how end all of this, but I can’t do it alone.

My previous post was about a pupil’s work, which has led to a dialogue in recent days at the Avalon forum. I decided to make my reply this morning into this Substack post. I wrote:

Hi Serg:

This may be due to a lack of clarity on my part. I don’t mean “sneaky” in the sense of sneaking into the other camp, but “sneaky” in the sense of sneaking past a person’s ego defenses, by which people defend their in-group status. Pals have called my work “in my face,” which I won’t argue against. There are a few reasons for that, and one is chasing away people who are not ready to give up their in-group conceits. In my early days of engaging the public on my writings (largely as they stand today, since about 2000-2001), pals would bring people to me, and I watched a few blow gaskets on this section, for instance. They were defending their American delusions. I quickly learned that people who defended their delusions and in-group status were not awake, and they would defend their delusions in the most irrational ways. There really is no way to honestly invalidate that section. Those gasket-blowers did not have the integrity or sentience to deal with my work. Few do.

In the series of posts that I am in the middle of, I repeatedly state that the lessons that I learned had multiple levels that it took many years to learn. As I look back, it began when I was 12 when our family changed its diet from processed food to whole food, to save my father’s health, which resulted in a health miracle. I soon learned that nobody wanted to hear it, even when they knew that their diets were killing them. But I kept on with my idealism, naively asking questions that everybody laughed at, but they were the most important questions that could be asked.

In my early days of media studies, long after I knew that the media shamelessly lied, I began studying Lies of Our Times, Unreliable Sources, and the like, and I soon realized that nobody wanted to hear it. They were happy with their beliefs, no matter how delusional they were. They were the sleeping masses, I was surrounded by them, and I knew that they would be no help for what I was groping towards.

It was also when I began to articulate what I found troubling about Dennis Lee’s approach, although it would be more than another decade before I was able to put it into an intelligible framework: Dennis was appealing to the primary population management ideologies. People adhere to them for egocentric and survival reasons, and they comprise the easily exploitable herd. Dennis was trying to bait them into saving themselves, but they didn’t really want to be saved. I watched them file to their deaths, even eagerly, rather than question their beliefs. I saw this in every direction that I looked, and the awake were very few and far between.

It was also in those days that I read Ralph McGehee’s book, and I recognized his awakening process, which was similar to mine. Those were long, slow processes that took many years. Dennis had a similar awakening process. They were early examples of what I called disillusioned idealists. They were overgrown Boy and Girls Scouts who chased their ideals, to eventually realize that they had been sold Big Lies. I often liken it to pulling aside that curtain in the Emerald City and realizing that it was all a sham.

I slowly came to realize that not only were they really the only people that I could reach with my work, but they were the only people who could help with what I have in mind.

I realized that the people that I seek had to already care and have their awakening, and awakenings only happened through experience. Nobody can truly awaken by reading work such as mine.

Dennis admitted that he was trying to sneak past people’s ego mechanisms, and I realized that the crowd that Dennis drew would give him a standing ovation one day, and cheer the next as he was crucified. So, Dennis began appealing to nationalism, organized religion, and capitalism (business opportunities), but they are all in-group ideologies that appeal to people’s egos, and they are what the elite use to manage the herd. I realized that the herd is easily stampeded this way and that, even over the cliff, and I knew that they were useless for what I had in mind.

Again, these were lessons that took more than 30 years to learn and articulate. Many people came to me after 9/11, as people began awakening to the fact that something was wrong with the picture they were presented. The JFK hit and COVID were also events that woke up many people.

Awakening is the first step, and I have done what I can to reduce the learning curve for the people that I seek. This could be a very long post, but I’ll stop here. The word at issue here is “sneaky.” :) I am not going to sneak past the global elite, either. They watch me to this day. They will see this coming. I am going to turn this into a Substack post.

So I did. Such exchanges give me an opportunity to clarify my work, and give pupils such as Serg the opportunity to hone his chops. It is discussions like that which will lead to the formation of what I call the “choir.”

Serg has made another post, and that one is primarily about political stripes, freedom of speech, what I call retail politics, and an astute comparison between what I call the Third (agrarian) and Fourth (industrial) Epochs. It is an important post. This reply will discuss some of Serg’s post, but I will also focus on what I am attempting and why. Serg has used the Byzantine Empire as his touchstone recently and in his latest post, and it is a good point of reference.

I want to make one thing clear: If there was an enlightened electorate, retail politics would work for bringing humanity into what I call the Fifth Epoch. But few people on Earth see past the horizons of their immediate self-interest, the system actively brainwashes them, and the politically active are almost all trying to butter their bread in some way or see elites as the root of our problems when they are only a symptom.

In a world of scarcity and fear, everything eventually becomes corrupted. Ostensibly Christian Europe, which theoretically followed the teachings of Jesus, inflicted the greatest catastrophe in world history onto humanity. The most enlightened teachings can be corrupted into justifying the greatest crimes, as humans can believe and justify anything. As Dennis Lee once told me, our systems are corrupt because people are corrupt. I see it as the challenge of becoming a truly sentient species. This issue can be seen in all walks of life.

In the USA, for instance, whatever the public wants does not matter much to those who run things. Noam Chomsky discussed that issue in his latest and likely final book. I know that John F. Kennedy was not killed by Lee Harvey Oswald, and sitting American presidents have been outright puppets ever since. That alone should give anybody pause in thinking that what I call retail politics really matters much. If the world’s most powerful politician is a puppet, which politician isn’t? Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes literally auditioned to become a candidate that the political machine supported.

So yes, the retail political system is largely worthless on many fronts. Soon before he died, Brian O’Leary informed me that electoral politics was a dead end, and he would have known. What I call the retail elite (Trump, Musk, Gates) is far down the hierarchy of power on Earth.

There was a big reason why I divided the human journey into four Epochs. Each Epoch was founded in its energy practices, and in each Epoch, humanity accessed far more energy than in the previous Epoch, generally an order of magnitude or more, and that energy leap is what made the next Epoch possible. Without those energy breakthroughs, the Epochs would not have happened. We would still be bipedal apes, with brains the size of a chimp’s. There would have been no explosive brain growth, no arrival of Homo erectus on the evolutionary scene, no conquest of Earth by behaviorally modern humans, no agriculture and civilization, and no Industrial Revolution. None of it would have happened without those energy breakthroughs. The so-called political changes were an outcome of those events, not a cause. People adapted to the higher energy levels, which led to Epochal changes in the human journey. Politics is a side-effect.

The limitations of each Epoch are very clear. Take the Byzantine Empire, for instance. I have studied it a bit in recent years, and about 90% of its members were farmers. The agricultural surplus only supported a tiny elite and professional class. Agrarian civilizations always lived on the thin edge of survival, as they constantly rose and fell, at the mercy of the climate. Multi-year droughts spelled the end of many agrarian civilizations.

No Epoch was ever energetically sustainable. The human journey is a story of burning through one energy source after the other, generally to exhaustion (megafauna, forests, soils, fossil fuels). We are currently burning through the fossil fuels that power industrial societies a million times as fast as they were created, and they will largely be gone in this century. Humanity has inflicted an awesome toll on the planet. There is not enough fossil fuel on Earth to support all of humanity at industrial-society standards, and even if there was, it would create an environmental catastrophe even faster than our current trajectory

But the rising energy capture and surplus has also made human societies far more humane and less violent, because they could afford to be. As Azar Gat stated, the biological compulsion to survive and reproduce in a world of scarcity is the root of all violence. Solve scarcity and we solve violence, and only one thing can do that: abundant and harmlessly produced energy.

Bucky Fuller stated that politics was obsolete as a fundamental problem solver, that its primary function was determining who got access to scarce resources, and that when humanity knew absolute abundance, what we call politics would largely vanish. In a world of abundance, the exchange aspect of economic activity becomes meaningless. Politicians and economists will almost entirely vanish in the Fifth Epoch (and what would remain will be unrecognizable), but so will most aspects of our world.

I am in the middle of a series of posts that Serg’s posts have inspired, on how I came to my “choir” approach. It was a process of life-ruining and life-risking trial and error, the kind that few on Earth have ever undertaken. What I saw can’t be seen from the cubicle or by surfing the Internet. I have written on the people I seek for this Epochal task: disillusioned idealists. They woke up from their brainwashing the hard way, by witnessing their ideals as they met reality. My message to them is that what they experienced is a universal situation with humanity today. But their willingness to pursue their ideals, to then honestly see how far short reality fell, is what led to their awakening, and my effort requires the caring and awakened. Anything less will lead to nowhere, in some of the ways that Serg describes in his writings.

Serg clearly lays out what freedom of speech really means, and at minimum, it is the freedom to make statements without being punished for them. Serg then argued, quite successfully, that that was just a minimal baseline, and that it was a small freedom if there was no way to be heard. Ed Herman also wrote on this issue. Incidentally, Serg interacted with Ed and Noam back in the day, and they were their usual responsive and helpful selves. Serg is right that the “left” is more evolved than the “right” is. I see it as an issue of older souls. The right sees self-servingness as the key to life, while the left is largely other-serving. This is a theme in my work.

One of my sayings is that all politics is about reshuffling the deck of scarcity (largely to the reshuffler’s benefit), and that is no help in achieving abundance. I have lived through, witnessed, and heard of the many ways to fail at this Epochal task. What those failed approaches all had in common was being mired in scarcity.

Serg wrote about the folly of waiting for some benevolent elites to deliver that sequestered technology. The global elite know very well that the delivery of those technologies for public use means the end of elites. That is why they have been so active in preventing public awareness and use of them. Elites made “sense” in the Third and Fourth Epoch, but they will make no sense in the Fifth, when everybody is richer than Bill Gates is today. Slavery made “sense” in the Third Epoch but became an obsolete social role in the Fourth.

Serg also remarked on the limitation of the left’s version of structural analysis, which is blinkered in key ways, such as denying that global elites even exist. Global elites have the most unaccountable power on Earth, and it is almost entirely invisible to humanity, which is why it is so unaccountable. The key existential issues that humanity faces today have both structural and conspiratorial aspects to them, but the left and right have lopsided perspectives, largely because they think like victims rather than creators, and creators create with love.

Serg discussed the infighting and other failures of leftist movements. My choir will be comprised of awakened Boy and Girl Scouts, and infighting will be the last thing on their minds. If they can hit the notes in chorus, the rest will be easy. They won’t be singing to their social circles, but singing to attract more like them. Hitting the notes is the only price of admission, and as Serg noted, anybody can do it. There will be no sneaking past the global elite. This will happen in the light of day. I am doing it now.

The greatest triumph of the global elite is making the Fifth Epoch unimaginable. My work is all about making it imaginable.

If that choir can hit the notes, there will be no need for leftist “struggle,” defeating elites, and so on. The safe delivery of those technologies for public use will form the foundation of the Fifth Epoch, and everything else will be noise. Years ago, I wrote what the first century of the Fifth Epoch can look like. I hope to live to see it begin, but I am at peace if I don’t.
