Disillusioned idealist definitely describes me. I am expecting my idealism to be fulfilled some day in the next 10 years, which will be when I die and can be relocated from the physical Earth and rebodied and rebuilt in the next World where everyone lives forever and there are no laws because no one in that realm ever wants to do anything that is not based on love for others. If I live long enough to experience the early days of humanity's new 5th Epoch, that will be great also. I tried idealism for most of my life, and I never found any evidence that there were any people on earth who measured up to my idealistic expectations.

In the Michael teachings:

https://ahealedplanet.net/spirit.htm#michael

I once read that nothing ever perfectly mirrors the Tao (AKA "Godhead"), and it never can nor should it. Leaving the Tao and returning is part of the process of making the Tao ever greater, as all of the experiences after leaving the Tao are reincorporated upon the return. I see ideals as stars to steer by that we will never quite reach, but their pursuit is worthy. But at this time on this planet, many of the antitheses of the ideals are presented as the ideals. My work exposes a lot of that, such as those mass-murdering thieves who were presented to me as heroes, saints, and Founding Fathers. Anthony Fauci literally had a portrait of Don Corleone on his office wall, as his ideal. What an ideal to aspire to. :)

If you had met Jesus or Buddha, you might have thought that they came close to your ideal. :) My understanding is that they became messengers from the Tao, to remind us of our purpose for being here. The goals are attaining love and enlightenment while we are here, or at least trying to, but we also have forever to get it right.
