Ha ha ha! :) In about a billion years or so, the Sun is going to create some problems if Earth remains in this orbit. Musk is kind of like Trump with his outrageous statements.
Are You familiar with the work of Suspicious0bservers? He is showing that there is a cyclical solar micronova about every 12,000 years. The last one was about...12,000 years ago.
I have seen many such solar and celestial predictions. Some even made the scientific papers, but I have pretty strong doubts about such celestial events. People love to predict catastrophes. :)
Did You watch? He has quite a list of indicators… I was following Him for a long while, and I do think He’s on to something. I only don’t follow much now because He’s on YouToilet and I seldom go to that site anymore.
Remember several years ago, when a bunch of guys who were portrayed as some sort of scientists predicted a "solar supercycle" that we were about to enter, which would turn Earth real cold? That is just one of many like it that I have seen over the years, and nothing ever comes of them. The Velikovsky stuff stated that we had global catastrophes in just the past several thousand years, that caused the Red Sea to part, etc. I have a recent book by a geologist who argued that some kind of bolide event wiped out the megafauna, but only in the Western Hemisphere, about 12K years ago. All rubbish, IMO.
On the more "credible" end of things, there has been a 30 million year periodicity of galactic events that have been argued to have caused all of the mass extinctions. A paper from a scientist argued that the Sun would have magnetic storms that made the Sun's output fluctuate, and that, instead of the Milankovitch cycles, is what has caused the ice sheets to advance and retreat. I remain highly skeptical of those ideas.
I am not kidding about many such predictions, and even mainstream scientists put their oar in. I don't really have much interest any longer in YouTube or TED presentations, and I have had my fill and then some of people who predict celestial catastrophes, from the Sun, the planets, asteroids, comets, galactic events, etc. I'll pass on the latest YouTube predictions. They can sure seem compelling, but I lost interest in stuff like that long ago. I haven't seen one close to panning out yet, and those are a cousin to the endless predictions of the NWO coming to your neighborhood next week, or the White Hats that vanquish the bad elites, etc.
All such predictions turn people into spectators, either waiting for the catastrophe or the adult equivalent of Santa coming down the chimney. It is all a meaningless distraction from what I am trying to get going.
What do you think of Elon Musk's recent assertion that we have to colonize Mars because the sun is going to burn up the Earth?
Ha ha ha! :) In about a billion years or so, the Sun is going to create some problems if Earth remains in this orbit. Musk is kind of like Trump with his outrageous statements.
Because I am Brian's biographer:
https://ahealedplanet.net/brianbio.htm#mars
Every time I hear about Mars colonization, I look to see if Brian is mentioned. Not yet! :)
Musk is either very naïve, he has been warned off of free-energy and related issues, or he is on it at some level. I don't know which it is.

I do recommend watching.

Well, I hope You watch. Would love Your breaking it down. [smile]
